Speculations to Legends Part II

Piecing together J'onn's images and the gravestones I've come to this conclusion:

The JGA's Earth was devastated in some kind of war, it's heroes perished. But one person couldn't bare to see it's heroes and their world die, and so reconstructed/recreated the Earth as it was in early 1950's. That's right, it's none other than the JGA's biggest fan: Ray Thompson - maybe the most powerful member or an alien groupie!

I agree. J'onns visions reveal some kind of planet wide devestation that appears to have possibly killed alot of people including the JGA. Maybe Ray Thompsons somekind of 5th Diminsion imp like Mxy. Those guys can do anything.

Well, I've heard that the kid was based on Johnny Thunder, who would certainly have enough power.

Defintly. Esspecially since Johnny Thunder's Thunderbolt has been established to be from the 5th dimension ( in the comics anyway) so that kind of stays in line with my theroy of very great powers being at work.

That’s great, he may be an old man in the current leagues time. Now re-living his childhood through this odd illusion, it would certainly explain that reality as a world only a child might imagine.

Still Tom Turbine is awful suspect. And he’s suspiciously absent from much of the episode.

Ray Thompson is loosely based on Roy Thomas, the JSA fan that eventually became a writer of the JSA's wartime exploits in All-Star Squadron.

But there is more to Ray Thompson than it appears, that's for sure.

If MeAmBizarro's theory is correct, I'm sure JSA fans have an idea who the... mastermind behind it would be -- perhaps he is the character that actually got to keep his original name.

That's exactly what I assumed, especially with the obvious nod to Roy Thomas. In fact, I'm not sure how you can draw any other conclusion from the given facts... though it is possible that some character that we haven't met yet is the guy keeping everything together, there's nobody I'd expect more to refuse to let go of the Justice Society than Roy Thomas.

I have to go with the JSA fan kid being the person. He obviously seemed happy with everything in the world AND it is always the least suspect that is the culprit. How quickly do we forget the mayor in "Secret Origins"??
