Wow. Just wow. So pointless. It's like they're determined to keep me only a devotee of their animated stuff.
I would suggest that it's not the medium, but the quality of perception and expression, that determines the significance of art. But what would a cartoonist know? -Bill Watterson

The Tim Drake profile uses pictures of Dick Grayson. Yeah, those things kinda stink.

Not to get too off topic, but a lot of their b-list and lower titles are actually pretty good. Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE, Demon Knights, Justice League International, The Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men (despite having the worst title ever), Stormwatch, Birds of Prey, And Batgirl are all good while OMAC and Mr. Terrific were good. The just launched Earth 2 and Dial H were excellent while World's Finest and G.I. Combat were pretty cool. Flash, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman are the best books off the proverbial A-list. But Teen Titans? I'm just barely interested in it. Hoping it gets better after "The Culling" is over.

What do you make of the inclusion of Doomsday on Superman's Bio
    Spoiler:
. Is this a confirmation he will be appearing?

I doubt it, I agree with Yojimbo that whoever wrote these profiles probably cobbled together official material from the show with whatever they found on wikipedia detailing the comic version of the characters.

I only glanced at the annual. It looked like an incoherent mess (very 90s), But, as I said, I only glanced at it. Did anybody actually read this issue? Was it any good?

I did. The Culling is so freakin' early Image comics in its feel that I'm shocked its written by the guy who gave us Generation X. Blazingly generic new characters, teenagers killing each other, villains with no apparent motive...yeah. Not that good.

Both preview clips suggest a continuation of the end of "Happy New Year". I'm sure there will be some movement on the Earth plot as well. I just hope we're not bogged down with too much SuperMartian and we see development of the Beast Boy/M'gann friendship and overall development of Beast Boy and a sense of how he made it to the team. I'm particularly curious if his mom's co-stars actually did form the Doom Patrol and if Beast Boy worked with them before joining the Team.

If they do end up going for a sorcerer, Traci 13 might be a safe bet. She even dated Blue Beetle and was part of his supporting cast for a long time and had some connections to the Titans and other teen heroes, so that could work. Black Alice is generally portrayed as a villain (albeit a more sympathetic one) in Birds of Prey and Secret Six, so I'm not sure they'd use her for the Team.

The pictures make it look like the entire ep is on Rann.

I like the design of Adam Strange's costume. It's certainly a nice modern take on it. If the League does any expansion this season I hope they at least consider him for membership.

Unless he decides to stay on Rann so he can be with his wife from the comics.

In the comics, Adam Strange will die if he stays on Rann for more than one year, so he would have a reason to return to Earth.

Okay, been wondering about this. Do you guys think that the Doom Patrol exists or will be formed in this Earth? We know Rita Farr is around 30-40 yrs old based on her appearance on Hello Megan back in the 70's. We know The Brain is 50. Beast Boy is now around 15.

We need to get confirmation on other existing members or villains. It would be cool to see if they form the original group for a solo mission and recruit Beast Boy.

Ah finally got the correct spelling of that gem from "Misplaced" and sounds like we'll get some insight into Ultra-Humanite's origin in Issue #19. Ask Greg 5/3/12

Head to the first post of this thread and looks for the Current News. Open the spoiler tag and scroll down to 'Specific' section and look for Virgil Hawkins. The link is there.
