    o/t Font Colors

Call me obsessive and I have a lot of time.

On my quest to find the perfect font color to use on these boards, I have made some discoveries.

We all know that Inque is mainly black with purpleish highlights and when in her human form she "wears clothes" that are black with purple-ish highlights and she has grayish skin.

This post mainly concerns the "purple-ish" highlights part. After watching the 3 different episodes (Black Out, Disappearing Inque, and Inquling) many times, I have reached conclusions and have proof to back them up.

The highlights are not really one solid color, sometimes they are mixture of two colors.

The artists were a inconsistent on the color of the purple stripes. Here are the different colors of the highlights:

Color 1 - This is a test of the color. Test test test.

Color 2 - This is a test of the color. Test test test.

Color 3 - This is a test of the color. Test test test.

Color 4 - This is a test of the color. Test test test.

Color 5 - This is a test of the color. Test test test.

Color 6 - This is a test of the color. Test test test.

Color 7 - This is a test of the color. Test test test.

Color 8 - This is a test of the color. Test test test.

Color 9 - This is a test of the color. Test test test.

My conclusions are: In Blackout, Inque has mostly the "brighter" purple shades. In Disappearing Inque, she has more of the "brighter" blue shades. In Inqueling she has the "pale" purple shades.

How did I come to these conclusions you might ask. Well I had the episodes on my computer, so I took screen shots from all the different episodes. Then I loaded them into Photoshop and then used the eye-droppper tool to find the hexdecimal value for the colors. When I zoomed in on all of the pictures and used the eyedrop tool, I recorded all of the hexcidecimal numbers. I then used those numbers in the <font> code part of this message. I looked at the hexidecimal numbers for each of the episodes and they are all different. The differneces between whether inque is bright purple, pale purple or bluish are easily visible.

All of this started when I was looking for a good font color to use on these boards. I don't like the default colors, so I am using the hexadecimal numbers that i have found. I couldn't use black because that wouldn't show up, so I decided to use the color of the highlights. I was suprised to find out the many different colors, so I am also using this post to see which color is easiest to read on the boards.

As you can see from above, Colors 4, 5 and 6, were the ones used in Blackout , Colors 1, 9 and 7 were definitely the ones used in Disappearing Inque, and Colors 3, 8, and 2 were the ones used in Inqueling.

I've decided to use Color 8. Its one of main colors that was in Inqueling. It was close between that and choice 9. Choice 9 was the one was already using. Choice 8 was #6666cc and choixce 9 is #6666ff. There's not much of a difference there. But when there is a lot of text, Choice 8 is better because it is not as "bright" as choice 9 and it doesn't hurt your eyes.

    Inque's color

She's like a living oil slick, isn't she? So naturally if the light hits her a certain way, she should shimmer like a puddle full of gasoline--purplish one second, bluish another, maybe a sort of red the next. I wonder if, like oil, she would be flammable?

    neat!

Oh yeah! Imagine her in a live action BB movie!! She would look absolutly fabulous if/when they use CGI for her design...I wonder if they would make her completelt computergenerated when in her Inque-form...I guess they would have too...

i'd have to disagree with that. In Inqueling, she has the paler shades everywhere. in blackout or disapearing inque, she's birghter everywhere too, so it couldn't be the lighting.

Hello. I came to talk. I've been thinking lately. About you and me. About what's going to happen to us, in the end. We're going to kill each other, aren't we? Perhaps later. I just wanted to know that I'd made a genuine attempt to talk things over and avert that outcome. Just once... I don't fully understand why ours should be such a fatal relationship, but I don't want your murder on my ... hands...

Have you spotted God down in those pixels yet? Rumor has it He can be found lurking down at this level of absurd detail.

    You know--

--I rethought the Inque flammability question late last night. Freezing her, dissolving her in water, or slipping her a turpentine Mickey is one thing, but setting her on fire would be a bad idea. Ironically she might enjoy it--she'd have a fine ol' time flexing and snapping her body to hurl flaming gobs of herself into the cheap seats.

If she was caught on fire I think she would just melt and disintegrate, a la Inqueling.

One would think that...but Inque has an unpleasant way of pulling nasty surprises on people (cf. "She only gave me half the treatment!" in "Disappearing Inque"). Even if she burned to ashes I think she'd still put up a good fight before she was done. Plus if water was used to put her out and her residue washed a sewer or drain...well, like Terry said, she's been dead before.
Look out, Deanna....here comes Mommy. You've been a naughty girl. Get ready for your "spanking".
