i really hope the make a sequel to the wonder woman animated movie. It's one of my favorites from DC. But i guess before they go to do it, there will be some others first. For example Batman: Under The Red Hood.
Yes - I believe!
No. I don't believe they will.
I'm just getting tired of waiting to hear that it's in the works, or in the plans. So I thought we'd all just guess. Will it happen, will it not?
I thought with people saying it's one of the better DTVs and that excellent cliffhanger ending, it was a natural choice for another DTV. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's Batman's turn for some exposure. Poor guy. When was the last time we saw something with him in it?

I think with DC's push to crank out the Green Lantern, Flash, (and Wonder Woman?) live action movies, I think a sequel is a shoe-in for WW and GL. I wish I knew the figures but weren't they the highest grossing DTV's at the time?
That Cheetah scene at the end was so cool, I never took her that seriously after her appearance in "Injustice For All" on Justice League but on the Wonder Woman movie, she looked downright villainous (if that makes sense?) and want to know more. Plus, I think Mr. Timm admitted they had a story saved up for a possible sequel that involved Etta Candy so maybe she's Cheetah in this one?
To be honest, I thought Wonder Woman was the first of these DCU movies to truly enjoyable after the growing pains of the first three. I would invite a sequel to see what else Michael Jelenic, the writer, and the staff had planned.

No, there probably will never be a direct sequel. Maybe another Wonder Woman movie in general, but not a sequel. I was super excited for the Wonder Woman movie before it came out, but I was actually pretty disappointed in the final product.
I never like Ares or Hades as villains, in anything. There's just something about them that seems very boring to me. I can't really explain why. And I thought the movie had way too much "Guys vs Girls" bickering. I know thats a classic part of Wonder Woman's mythology, but it's an antiquated one. And frankly, the character should be well beyond it at this point. She's about defending truth, the pursuit of peace, and unflinching justice. It should never be belittled to a guy/girl THING.
HAVING SAID ALL THAT....I would LOVE a sequel. The character model, and Keri Russell were both very good. And if a sequel were to go past the initial "Man's world" nonsense, and take the character into a more conventional super-hero direction, that could be awesome.
Alternatively, I'd LOVE to see an adaptation of "Wonder Woman: A League of One". Which is IMO the greatest stand-alone Wonder Woman story EVER. But then that would require using the Justice League. And at that point, they might as well just use the "Co2E" designs and actors.
I'd also love to see an adaptation of Matt Wagner's "TRINITY", which uses the Wonder Woman from the "Wonder Woman" DtDVD, the Superman from "Superman: Doomsday", and some other version of Batman. (Maybe the "Under the Red Hood" version?)
But that's just a pipe dream.

It's definitely the first one that I really loved. While I wasn't crazy about Superman: Doomsday or JL:New Frontier when I first saw them, I've come to like them very much. I'm not gonna pretend that I enjoyed anything about Batman:GK though.
I'd definitely love to see a sequal to Wonder Woman. I doubt that it'll happen though. Wonder Woman seems to kinda get the shaft when it comes to how much she's featured in shows and movies compared to other DC characters.
I doubt you'll ever get a direct sequel, as it would've been announced by now if they were planning on it.
There's a chance you'll see a Wonder Woman DVD again, possibly based off one of her popular comic book storylines or if she suddenly has an Avengers/Green Lantern style rejuvination, popularity wise.
However, you're best best is further Justice League stories.
Yes, I believe they will, especially since Wonder Woman has continued to sell so well (with DVD sales revenue that outranks The Invincible Iron Man, Justice League: The New Frontier, and Green Lantern: First Flight).
2011: The Year of Green Lantern!
Technically, A League of One is a JLA title with Wonder Woman in the lead (yes, I'm nitpicking). I think they could make some sort of strange adaptation of it minus the JLA, but I guess the title would also need revamping. FWIW, I liked the story and own the hard cover.
I always like seeing certain characters interact in notable ways. Pertinent examples include Superman and Batman, Flash and Green Lantern, Black Canary and Green Arrow, etc. The Wonder Woman and Superman interaction in the mold of Byrne and Perez's reboot runs were pretty good in ALoO and Trinity. I don't even mean it in a romantic way, just in a way to let you know they understand each other very well and aren't just two characters thrown into the thick of action. If you like that camaraderie, unfortunately the current DCAU writing team really hasn't really delivered in that regard, so I guess I kind of fear adaptations of ALoO and Trinity because I feel like said interaction will be watered down, again. Why is meaningful dialogue between the two almost taboo? I guess I never understood why.
But back to the main topic. Do I think we'll see a sequel? Based on zero evidence and an unreliable gut feeling, no, but I would like to see one.
