I honestly don't know, but it's getting very irritating. It seems like every time I turn it on, it's The Laughing Fish, Heart of Steel, or The Strange Secret of Bruce Wayne.

- I agree, it is irritating....the same thing is going on with STAS.
My guess would be that they only have permission or license to show the 1st season(s)...TNBA and STAS 2 and 3 probably would require Disney to spend more $$$.
Maybe Disney wanted to see how the 1st few episodes would do before they spent more cash to show more episodes...who knows.
Bat embargo's, license issues, its all very mysterious these DC/WB properties.![]()

They want to spread the episodes out thats why. They have all of Batman TAS and all of Superman TAS. This is evident by Jetix's Batman page which has images of the New Batman Adventures. They are just spreading them out. I figure by summer we will get the rest of Superman and up to the end of Batman TAS and Fall we will get The New Batman Adventures. They are just making them last longer thats all.
I really don't understand that logic, though. It's not like they're new episodes or anything. And how is showing the same handfull of episodes over and over and over again preferable to having to repeat an episode one out of a hundred or so times?

I agree that it is dumb and illogical, however it is what Toon Disney did with Jackie Chan Adventures and Pinky and the Brain (They just started airing a second batch of Pinky and the Brian episodes) so it seems to be what they are doing.
It's merely a way to stretch out how long they have it I guess. Yeah it's annoying.

! Why do you all have to complain about how a certain Jetix program, esp. an overlocalized anime dub or a WB show, gets the shaft or doesn't premiere anymore episodes what so ever? It's really getting tiresome having to see you worship Jetix or its oh-so "precious" lineup all the damn time, whenever I read a thread that has something to do with Jetix's lineup. My eyes were bleeding when I read a whole bunch of complaints online about the demise of Jetix's Sunday-night anime block, so I can't stand to have my eyes bleed again from reading more of those useless complaints about the WB shows not premiering anymore episodes on Jetix.
Jetix was really created for the sole purpose of helping the greedy Disney Corporation escape their lifelong incentive and necessity of respectfully utilizing, accomodating and promoting most, if not all, of their classic original properties(e.g. Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck) by replacing them as one of their most hugest moneymakers ever and its dominance of the Toon Disney network is real proof of that.
In its very early days, Toon Disney was a very charming and fun-filled premium channel that would actually showcase a true variety of animated programming, esp. the classic Disney stuff, aimed towards children and their families every single day, not some mindless Williams Street-wannabe pop culture/otaku whore factory or some breeding ground for a bunch of cheap 30-min. toy commercials such as Chaotic and Power Rangers or some dumping ground for pre-2000 WB shows and 3rd-party programs that've aired on either Kids WB, CN or 4KidsTV before.
Toon Disney really had the potential to be a great and successful standalone animation venue with a mix of classic Disney programming, Disney Channel animated originals, some original programming intentionally developed just for Toon Disney and even some 3rd-party programming that could peacefully co-exist with the homegrown Disney programming, but it's all lost now thanks to Disney's acquisition of Fox Family Worldwide, leading to Jetix's birth, which would spell doom for the entire Toon Disney channel in the long term.
I know some of you won't have any concern what so ever for Jetix's takeover of Toon Disney, but those superstack and wildcard blocks are unnecessarily helping Jetix pull away a huge amount of airtime from great Disney classics such as Aladdin, Ducktales, Gummi Bears and Mighty Ducks, so why can't you all just be freak'n happy that the WB shows are still airing on Jetix to this very day and stop all this damn whining every single time a Jetix program is about to face the cold shoulder from Disney. If I were really in charge of Disney, Toon Disney will have some original programming of its own and will be pimped as much as Hannah Montana and its brethren, which will cause Jetix's airtime and promotion to plunge by a considerable amount, if the originals themselves garner good-enough ratings, and then it'll face the same exact dire situation Toonami is in right now before it's axed for good. You bastard otakus all make me sick to my stomach! Good-bye!
Er...
Hello, there.
I actually read that entire post and I'm not sure who you are trying to adress, but I don't see where you made the leap from people being irritated by the way Toon Disney has decided to show a series to the rant you arrived at. Personally, I think Toon Disney is a lousy channel as well--any channel with that name that shows zero classic Disney Toons a day is pretty hard to like for any serious animation fan (which basically everyone at TOON Zone is). But I might as well watch one of my favorite shows if they buy the rights to air it.

I'm can't stand those snobby otakus who demonize the pre-2000 Disney cartoons and other likable timeless classics and then at the very same time, worship the likes of Jetix and its garbage lineup, Chaotic and other 4Kids garbage, other cheap toy commercials, Hannah Montana and its ilk, poorly-written live action flicks such as Bratz and Alvin & The Chipmunks, religious programming, crappy Nick and CN originals, Americanizations of foreign properties, the destruction of Disney Feature Animation's integrity by these following culprits: Eisner, Bob Iger, Pixar and Studio Ghibli, which all aim to destroy the remaining popularity of the classic original Disney properties have left.
Are you talking about the modern-day Toon Disney, which is now really Jetix TV? If so, then I whole-heartedly agree. I really shouldn't mind 3rd-party programming on Toon Disney, but I hated Jetix and its programming for taking over a huge majority of the channel's lineup.Personally, I think Toon Disney is a lousy channel as well--any channel with that name that shows zero classic Disney Toons a day is pretty hard to like for any serious animation fan (which basically everyone at TOON Zone is). This topic has gone in the crapper I hope it closes now.
Current Toon Disney does air older Disney toons during the day which is great and then classics like Superman TAs Batman and Pinky and the Brain at night which is great too. Toon Disney is currently the best cartoon based channel out there. I realize thats not saying much but a channel with Chip and Dale Rescure rangers, Tail Spin, Goof Troup, Batman TAS, Superman TAS, and Pinky and the brain is a damn good one in my opinion. Sure there are many other shows I would wish they could air and Jetix should be cut in half but Toon Disney is still currently a great channel and so is the Jetix block.
On a similar note, I hear that the first few seasons of Jackie ceased airing on the network when the rest of the series aired on Toon Disney. Is that true or do they ever go back to the beginning of the series?
Deadpool on the "genius" of Hollywood: Everything's turned into a movie these days. -- Old TV shows, board games, candy bars. And let me tell ya, I'm totally stoked for Butterfinger The Movie.
- That may be the reason, but I don't see Toon Disney's/Jetix's logic.
Spreading a few episodes out over an entire year...how is that supposed to hold an audience for ratings? I mean, ratings is the ultimate goal right? Good ratings = advertising dollars, right? At least thats the way it used to work.
Seems logical they'd want to air the episodes in succession to hold an audience for any length of time. Turning on the tube to the same episodes every week would seem to be counter productive...I just don't get it.

I agree with most of your Toon Disney gripes, but I think missed the point of the thread, dude, no offense. <_<

Even though classic Disney toons are still airing on Toon Disney, it's still easily one of worst channels in the entire world, esp. when it showcases some cheap toyetic garbage from 4Kids. I was so angry and horrified when TD/Jetix acquired the USA cable rights to Chaotic, because I thought that would mean that TD/Jetix would become the exclusive home for any 4Kids property as their rivals(CN and Nick) are way too untrustworthy for 4Kids and Disney would eventually buy up all of 4Kids, resulting in the lack of uncut releases for 4Kids' imports in the USA.
BTAS, STAS and P&TB, on the hand, all don't belong on Toon Disney at all, because Time Warner owns all 3 of 'em. I wouldn't want today's generation of youths to think that all 3 of the shows are 100% Disney when they're really WB properties, just because they air on TD/Jetix. I want Time Warner to give Turner/CN full access to the WB library, so CN can use the WB cartoons to diversify their lineup and I also would feel so uneasy about 2 huge media corporations attempting to merge into 1 huge megaconglomerate, so they could just expand their already-huge media empire(s).
I thought this thread was complete spam and should've been locked a while agoOh yeah...@ Lord Galactus...HI.
I agree with most of your Toon Disney gripes, but I think missed the point of the thread, dude, no offense. <_<, because it's about some person wasting his/her time complaining that Toon Disney isn't premiering anymore episodes of a Jetix program, even though Toon Disney doesn't exist to air reruns of old WB shows or other shows that are aimed towards arrogant otakus.
So your hate of Toon Disney is due to a single show? That is the dumbest cause of hate I have ever seen. Really Toon Disney's Scedual is far better then Disney, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Nick and Toon Disney it's main compatition.
Your reasons are dumb yes those shows are not owned by Disney but I don't see any WB channel airing these great shows do you? I did not think so. It's great that Toon Disney is airing these classics for a new generation at a great time slo, that yeah Warner Brothers should be doing this but don't hate Toon Disney for someone else.
Your reasons for hating Toon disney/Jetix is the type of paranoid that annoys the hell out of me. It's based on the hate of a single show and spreed out to Disney as a whole. While I accept that opinion as your and there fore value it, I have to say your opinion sickens me.
Hating a good thing because it's on a different channel and hating a channel for a single show is petty and wrong. A WB channel should be airing Batman Superman and Pinky and the brain BUT THEY ARE NOT. In stead Toon Disney is airing these great shows for a new generation.
And saying they are tricking people into thinking their Disney shows? That's crap, they air the Warners Brothers Logo complete with Bugs Bunny before each episode. Also unlike Nick Disney has respectfully unaltered the Pinky and the Brain Logo.
You are making problems where none exist to justify your pointless hate.
I don't know. Batman the Animated Series is Batman the Animated Series. If you want the later episodes get the DVDs. Of course I say this as a Canadian who doesn't get Toon Disney, and, in all fairness, if I were watching the same episode every few weeks I'd probably get ticked off too.
Have a good day.

Sometimes just hitting the button on the remote is more satisfying than searching through loads of DVD sets trying to figure out what episode to watch while your dinner gets cold.
Yeah, a lazy couch potato like me just hits the ol' Dish network remote to TD...and BAM. BTAS/STAS is rrrrrrright there!
