If the last JLU season had been 26 episodes instead of 13...

...what would you have liked to have seen expanded upon? More Legion of Doom? Less Legion of Doom? More Tala?

Here are a few off the top of my head after watching the DVDs:

Hawkman coming into his own as a hero. I would have liked to have seen him in an episode that wasn't related to the whole Shayera/Green Lantern thing. Maybe have him team up with someone who knows GL and Shayera but isn't involved in it, like Wonder Woman or J'onn. Vigilante would be interesting, given his prejudice.

Green Arrow becoming a bigger part of the League. He calls Superman 'Clark' in 'Far From Home', and I would have liked to seen more of where that came from. Maybe a 'Hard Travelling Heroes' kind of thing.

A Flash/GL team up episode. Their easy interaction in 'The Great Brain Robbery' and 'Destroyer' after barely talking to one another for two seasons felt like it needed at least some exploration. GL seeing just how much Flash has matured would have been neat.

Some more Cadmus aftermath episodes. Maybe some Batman/Waller scenes to better set up 'Epilogue', or an episode about Superman and Hamilton.

A 'J'onn travels the world' episode. That 'Destroyer' reveal felt way too abrupt, if still welcome.

A J'onn travels the world episode: Maybe.

I wouldn't have minded some more eps dealing with the metahuman vs. normal human tension that seemed to be growing, specifically within the League itself. Not that I'd want it to get to the point of being like X-men, with a war or whatever, but I liked the dynamic in "Patriot Act" and I think that if there were more Cadmus follow-ups, the relationship between metas and normies would be a good subject to develop on and maybe give a more complete resolution than Patriot act was able to give.

I kinda thought Hawkman was lame, so the less the better. He really seemed like a man who needs to grow a pair. He came off as a wierdo stalker who's not quite right mentally, and IMO he never recovered as a character. I'd like to see some GL/Vixen/Shayera stuff though. Some Batman/WW would've been cool too.

A JJ travelling the world would've been pretty cool. He kinda got short shrift plot-wise in the entire run IMO. A Supergirl/ LoSH would've been a neat change of pace. I always liked Huntress/Canary, they played well off each other. Turn Destroyer into a 2 or 3 parter. And finally, Dove goes postal and sends half the JLU to the hospital to the soundtrack of "Coward of the County".

Well, that's my point. By giving him an episode without Shayera, Green Lantern or Shadow Thief he'd be able to show that he's a legitimate superhero in his own right, and not just some crazy stalker person. Which is what he was in the show, ultimately.

I'm not a comics reader, so I only know what I've read about Hawkgirl/woman and Hawkman, but the DCAU version seemed to mix together some 'real' DC stuff along with what was created for Shayera uniquely for DCAU. I could be wrong. It just all felt out of place for me, the whole Egyptian/ Thanagarian cross-overs and tie-ins. Hawkman just felt of of place in the DCAU, so spending more time on him would just prolong the agony .

I would have liked to have seen it go exactly as it did up to episode 13. The remaining 13 episodes could then explore the ramifications of Darkseid and Luthor's deal. The anti-life equation...I could see that translating to a wall of anti-matter erasing everything in its path. What a Crisis on Infinite Earths that would be.

With regards to Hawkman. I would have liked him to been redeemed a bit. He and Hawkgirl belong together.

I also would have loved to see Hal Jordan make an appearance.

Finally, an episode focusing on the JSA heroes (Wildcat, Dr.Mid-Nite, etc).

Another 13 episodes after season 3? Man, that would had been perfect but what we got I enjoyed it the most but still I would had like to see:

-Hawkman to become part of the league ( I support S.C.B on this on)
-The League knows a young hero called Static Shock
-Robin and Batgirl team up with the League against Joker before Tim goes missing (Bat-embargo my axe!)
-Amazo finally returns to Earth with the solution against magic chaos>>>sarcarsm
-more future travel episodes!!!
-Wonder woman finding love finally, GL and Shayere become gf and bf (yes, I actually would like to see it on screen), Superman reveals Lois his secret identity (with lois saying duh!)

So I have no idea what they could use as threats, but I am sure there is always something they can use. Maybe Doomsday and others coming out of the Phantom Zone.

I'm not talking about possibly episodes that would come after 'Destroyer', I meant if the existing season was longer. So it still begins with Grodd recruiting Luthor and ends with Darkseid's return and invasion of Earth, it's just 26 episodes instead of 13.

I'd like to see crazy stand-alones: stuff like what Grant Morrison is currently writing for All-Star Superman--stuff like Chaos at the Earth Core with more ass-kicking; less "character development"; and actual quality. Bizarro Justice League! Luck Lords! An entire episode of JLApes! Jimmy Olsen meets Hitler! Space Baseball! A day in the life of Watchtower Employee # 36! The Justice League Picnic!

I would have liked to see them actually do something with all the background characters who never spoke (hourman, gen. steel, the ray, waverider, creeper,ice, vibe, etc). I mean, they basically threw them in to do nothing but stand around. You'd think that Timm and co. would have had plans for them. Heck, all the other cartoons with huge rosters (transformers, gi joe, he-man) at least had feature episodes for the lesser heroes, why not JLU?

I would like to see Hawkman join the League and do some things on his own. In fact, it would've been cool to see him with the Atom, out of respect to their old comic partnership.

I wouldn't want to see any more about Cadmus, but I wouldn't mind more about Waller's relationship with the League and a conclusion to the General's story. I don't need to see anything about Waller and Batman, because we all know how that turns out. I'd just be happy to see some of her ties to the League as a whole.

More Diana and Faraday would be nice, being as he was a pretty cool character, and I thought it was pretty clear that they would be an item.

I would've been fine with more Legion of Doom, as long as they didn't overshadow the League. And I wouldn't mind some roles for the other background Leaguers, of course. More of the same is always good too, in the case of those we're familiar with (like the original seven). I love seeing Lois, and Superman could've done for another focus episode or two.

If the show had gone past "Far from Home," it would be nice to see a Legion of Super Heroes episode where Supergirl finds an old message or something from Superman that maybe ties into a mystery the Legion is working on. Just a chance to see her in her new life.

It would've been neat to see Luthor or Grodd's Legion run into Vandal Savage in some capacity. They tied his story up nicely in "Hereafter," but since that timeline was erased, we all know that he is still out there causing trouble somewhere.

And I always wanted to see more of Kyle Rayner.

here are my suggestions. episodes are in no particular order.

expanding dead reckoning into a 2 parter. it would expand supes vs. blockbuster and bizarro, ww vs. cheetah, rampage and devil ray and bats vs. goldface. ww vs. devilray and rampage were awesome. but supes vs. blockbuster and bizarro were just snippets. they weren't fully fleshed out. and the ending felt very rushed. if it were a 2 parter it would've been a more exciting showcase for the big trinity!

expanding grudge match into a 2 parter. i really enjoyed ww beating the crappola outta everyone! part 1 begins with black canary vs. ice thus confusing the audience just like in a better world. then show the backstory of how luthor made a deal with roulette. then the story progresses up until ww is revealed to huntress, bc, sha and vixen. part 2 would be an expanded version of ww knocking the teeth out of huntress, bc, sha and vixen. bc uses her sonic birdcall to free them from the cage. sha flies to free ice and fire while vixen delays ww. huntress and bc take down roulette and sonar while sha, vixen, ice and fire battle ww.

flash leads booster gold (w/ skeetz), fire, ice and elongated man on a mission vs. legion of doom members. it would be cool having flash as a team leader. stretchy guys are really cool and elongated man's abilities could've been showcased more. episode ends with flash and fire becoming more than just friends.

ep with green arrow, bc, zatanna, atom and gl hal jordan. he joins the league when john stewart is sent to a mission in oa. hal jordan vs. star sapphire would be cool since they have a history in the comics. black canary vs. silver banshee would be a cool screamfest. canary could unleash her most powerful sonic birdcall to date.

jsa vs. LOD episode. mr. terrific leads s.knight, vig, star girl, wildcat, stripe and atom smasher (where he actually speaks).

ww and farraday vs. rogue gallery of ww. giganta, cheetah, devil ray and maybe even a revived aresia could be there. ep ends with farraday and ww agreeing to explore their attraction.

a green arrow/black canary episode where speedy becomes red arrow and joins green the jlu. this ep would be split with a solo mm mission. there would be 2 ongoing battles similar to TGTNT. it would parallel a member that has presently left the league with a new member joining it. speedy being ollie's recruit would be a nice nod to Initiation, with ollie now inviting a new member into the jlu. this ep would happen before ellig became that super soldier beast.

a hawkman episode where he works alongside any members of the league EXCEPT gl, sha and vixen. this ep would define hawkman and give the character some justice. it would shed his stalker image. this ep would happen after the horrible ancient history.

a vixen episode WITHOUT the repetitive, tired, boring, never-ending drama of gl/sha. vixen's totem gets stolen by one of the LOD members during the time when grodd's big scheme wasn't revealed yet. mari asks some members of the league to help her retrieve it, but ends up discovering more of her powers. she then can summon winged animals and dinosaurs which is consistent with the comics.

a recuriting and training episode in the perspective of the LOD members. new members could be crowbar, black mass, fastball, dream slayer and the rotund guy in sunglasses with the tentacles for hair (is his name gorgon?). hey it worked for TFX.

a superman/batman vs. bizarro/batzarro episode.

supes, bats, ww, flash vs. ultraman, owlman, superwoman, johnny quick.

more battle sequences and stories revolving around ww, flash, green arrow, black canary, vixen, red tornado, steel, elongated man, mr. terrific, atom smasher and stripe. more battles involving the ff. LOD members: parasite, copperhead, metallo, giganta, killer frost, kgbeast, gentleman ghost, volcana and sinestro.

Why would they need to exist on an alternate Earth? JLU already had present day versions of Hawkman, Wildcat, Dr. Mid-Nite, Hourman, Mr. Terrific, Sand, Johnny Thunder, Black Canary, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher, (an iteration of) Starman, even Captain Marvel, Hawkgirl, Stargirl and S.T.R.I.P.E. if you want. I would have enjoyed seeing an episode featuring, say, Hawkman, Wildcat, Dr. Mid-Nite, Hourman, Mr. Terrific and Atom Smasher as a wink and a nod, but the only problem is that it might have been too similar in premise to Patriot Act (Seven Soldiers of Victory).
