    Under-Rated Batman Beyond Eps

    Like This Thread!
I figured since the jl board had a thread for under rated btas eps, then why not bb. And with the show ending, this is the perfect time to talk about the under-rated episodes of the series.

Well, to be honest there are alot of bad eps that werent under-rated at all, just plain bad. but there are a few imo that were under rated:

    1. Armory- I actually sort of liked this ep. it introduced new characters (minorities to boot), armory had a nice origin and actually had motivation to break the law. all in all this ep reminded me of the origin eps from tas days. My only big problem was armory sucked, his design i mean. i guess even if it is a good story, if the character the story's about isnt that great, well, i guess it gets underrated.

    2. April Moon- Aside from the bright colors and bad character designs, i think it was well written and very twisted. If only that weird gang was designed better, not just regular generic guys in t-shirts w/ chainsaws sticking out of thier elbows, but actually given a cool costume and stuff.

    3. Earth Mover- I think this was one of the best eps of the second season. it was so nicely written, good animation, alot of character development and motivation. Superb imo.

Well thats my list of under-rated eps. what eps do you all think were under-rated?

I really don't know what the difference is between "underated" and "most forgettable" are. Both were forgotten..but, ah well. I actually don't believe I've forgotten any episodes, they were all enjoyable in some aspect..

What is this, a mere terran to wield the powers of continuity, and so lightly? What madness is this. Do you not realize its power was never meant for thee."

Anyway, that's out of my system (for now)

    I'm thinkin

Golem: Loved this episode, if not just for the climax at the dance.

Once burned: Always nice to see Melonie.

The last ep with the royal flush gang, forgot it's name but it was awesome.

Out of the past: (wan't that the one with Ra?)

Final Cut: The animation in the scene with the museam made me wet myself.

That would be KING' RANSOM. Personally, I love all the episodes with the Royal Flush Gang. At first, the idea of bad guyz dressing up like playing cards seemed pretty gay, but they've grown on me. Now DEAD MAN'S HAND and A KING'S RANSOM are two of my favorite episodes.

GOLEM--can't go wrong with giant robots
    April Moon
    Egg Baby
    Joyride
    Sentaries of the Last Cosmos
    Slappers
    Terminal...

Basically, it doesn't take much for me to like an episode of Batman Beyond. However, I can't stand SPEAK NO EVIL, LAST RESORT, THE CALL <<this one frelled up the whole Batman Byond Universe>>, or CURSE OF THE KOBRA.

Earth Mover---Sorry man, this one sucked major balls.

I totally agree. Earth Mover is probably one of my favorite of all the BB episodes - dark, moody, and disturbing. It felt a lot like it should have been a B:TAS episode, and that's probably why I liked it so much.

Dirt (earth mover), clay (clayface), whatever. Its done all the time. Yeah, its far fetched but so is about 90% of what happens in any cartoon, including BB.

For the most part, I don't think the show is that outlandish. Everything in Batman Beyond has always had some kind of scientific foundation. Because the it takes place in the future, the creators can get away with having characters mutate their dna or enhanced their bodies with cybernetic implants. You don't know what kind of crazy shiznit they are going to invent 40 yrs from now.

I always thought that batman was down to earth. Not that unreal, I mean some times the villians might be a bit ureal, but on the all and all. Batman portrayed real people that's why we like it so much.

ya, the dirt thing was far fetched, but the reason i liked it so much was they had a cool explaination of why it was happening. it wasnt like they thought making dirt monsters would be cool and then just made some lousy reason for why it was happening. they really took time to develop the story, so the far fetched aspect was lost, imo. plus there was so much more going on in that ep than just dirt moving.

but if you think about it, how much more far fetched is that from clayface (as already mentioned), manbat, the eps tyger, tyger, moon of the wolf, and even rotj. its not that much more unlikely. peace.

    Dude

Earthmovers was an awesome episode. Did you see the animation? And the story line is cool.

Dead father seeks revenge on friend/enemy to get daughter back. That episode is great.

I also think that earthmover was one of the best eps in BB. Not only because the nice animation, but it was also kinda scary...not that I was scared...heh heh...no really.
I watched the ep with a friend of mine...might I add that he is a tad younger than me well He thought that the ep was scary...not frigtening scary, more uncanny

btw...I just wanted to compain about this site! I have now tried for 40 minuttes to get to post this post!!!! It's frustrating I tell ya!

    Here is my list

Earthmover: was awsome once you get past the dirt monster it was a gripping story and it introduced a new toy the Batsub.

Sentries of the Last Cosmo's: It seemed pretty good for a Star Wars rip-off the main villian at the end remined me of the emperor
from ROTJ. IT also had a great plot.

Out of the Past: The episode I was waiting for since the series started with Ra a supposed ageless man another great story line

    Once Burned
    Kings Ransom
    Egg Baby
    And many Others

Untouchable? Well first I was thinking, what!!? But aside from the horrible predictable banter that Bader wrote for a few episodes, it wasn't horrible. The fight scenes were cool, and the last one was awesome. Just take out the predictable Bader writing of the time and swich in something else and we probably could have had a great episode.

Wow. 15 replies, and ALL of you will end up killing me. Kind of hard to imagine isn't it. 15 people all killing me. Maybe, but you'll see....

My pic for most underrated episode is "ZETA". Can you believe it? When I watched it last, and I looked at it not a tool for WB to kill of Batman/Superman stories with, but just as a Batman Beyond episode.....I liked it.

The number one highlight that makes me think this is Max wasn't horribly annoying. This time the trouble found her, because she's the electronic bookworm and study bug of the school, and she knows everything about it (the people, and the technology).

Undrrated means that the episode was good in diffrent people's eyes and not everybody will agree with you that it was good. Moat forgettable means that the episode was just bad and most people want to forget about it.

I didn't include OUT OF THE PAST or ZETA b/c I don't consider them underated. I thought everyone liked them.

UNTOUCHABLE, HEROS, and RATS were okay, but I think they deserved their crappy reviews.
