    Exactly why did Krypton explode?

    Like This Thread!
Now, I'm more of a Batman fan, so, pardon the stupid question. I don't really know exactly what caused Krypton's explosion. So, I'm asking all of you Superman fans.. what caused it? Thanks for any replies..

I think it has something to do with the core of Krypton... yeah, I know, not too helpful here...

    The death of Krypton

Intense subterranean geothermic activity tore the planet apart and it blew like a Black Cat in a beer can. Jor-El studied the seismic evidence and the polar ice cap activity and knew the truth, but the elders ignored him and called him mad...and paid a hefty price.

BTW, I thought it odd that Brainiac was the computerized brain of Krypton in the KWB incarnation. I suppose to me he'll always be the whacked-out carny hypnotist from the comic books who, due to a tumor in his brain, believed his body to be inhabited by an alien conciousness.

Why did it blow up? Well, to pharaphrase the Joker, it was to add a defining element of tragedy for this hero.

Yes, that was a smart-alec English major answer, I'll brace myself for a bop on the head now.

Hello. I came to talk. I've been thinking lately. About you and me. About what's going to happen to us, in the end. We're going to kill each other, aren't we? Perhaps later. I just wanted to know that I'd made a genuine attempt to talk things over and avert that outcome. Just once... I don't fully understand why ours should be such a fatal relationship, but I don't want your murder on my ... hands...

Colloids!!! learning about that in chem right now.........how the particles in them are medium sized, compared to the particle sizes in suspensions and solutions. and how they're good at showing the tyndell effect or brownian motion......
