Given that Zatanna, Metamorpho and Black Canary all have full-on superpowers, I don't think they'll be the potential "seventh soldiers."

My guess? That this'll be the one episode of the season where we'll get our healthy dose of Question.

Or so I hope.

I'm glad we are getting more flash, especially in his home town and being shown some respect finally. Wally as the freshmen class clown only worked for so long you know? I'm also eager to see batman and Orion interact, I would think they would get along pretty well.

That leaves us with the last five episodes. IIRC we are supposed to get a LSH and an Outsiders episode, that means three are left...I would hope they go out on a three part season finally with the New Gods.

Actually, after having read that, I'd LOVE to see Wing show up as a Kato-like driver for the Avenger. I was always a big Green Hornet fan and it'd be cool to see a fully represented DCU-counterpart on JLU.

Too bad about the Bat-embargo or we could have Wing and Robin face off against one another and have Wing pretend they're evenly matched.

Patriot Act pretty much makes me guess that Batman might be guesting for the ep because only non-superpowered people will face this "super soldier". I wonder if this could be Major Force, a villain of Captain Atom.

I doubt it, simply because the logline states that Green Arrow is leading the team; Batman's presence would almost necessitate him being in charge. It would be awesome if Major Force was the super-soldier, I think.

Anyhoo, now that loglines are getting out with character names and plot details, I'm going to remove myself from this discussion and patiently wait for the episodes to air, rather than spoil the fun ahead of time.

Also noticed it seems like the Legion of Doom is going after a lot of mystical/ arcane objects to use in their war against the JLU (the body of Viking Prince, presumable empowered by Odin, and this on mentioned in "dead reckoning" about the Monks. Magic is something the villain groups haven't used yet, so it will be an interesting season.

Yes, and we can only hope that the Legion's pursuit of magical items will ensure Dr. Fate showing up a few times this season.

Wasn't Stargirl confirmed for the Seven Soldiers episode? That would knock off a spot on that list (most likely Question).

the new episodes definitely have me psyched, and thinking.
I am so glad to see the Flash museum, which is a regular staple in Flash mythos for the character, to be seen finally, and also for Batman to see Flash's rogues. I just can't wait for Batman to see that Wally has as challenging villains to deal with as he does. I'm already guessing the villains we'll be seeing are Mirror Master, Heatwave, Shade, Grodd possibly, and someone else. I just still don't understand why Captain Cold cannot be used in JLU. I'm guessing its the Flash script, right?

Deadman sounds awesome and will be very interesting use for the character to connect to the Big 3.

Yeah- why IS orion in the episode? Why should HE care about the Flash museum? Stargirl would make sense, except they said seven NONPOWERED members, and she at least has the cosmic rod. And Stripe should be there too. I just want to see the Question wherever, whenver.

I'm surprised the episodes are airing this early, I thought they would've aired around January, but I'm not complaining.

I prefer the darker/sweeter (as opposed to wacky) episodes, but I trust Timm & Co., seeing as they know what they're doing and I have no clue. And I'll try not to sneer too much at this 'boyfriend'.

You know Patriot Act could have Major Force as a villain, but it also could have the General as a villain.
The General in fact would also fit because his regular identity happens to be a General Eiling, who was part of Waller's cabinet last season.

Works for me, though we're not getting that second Stargirl ep I'd hoped for. I don't buy the argument about her being "non-superpowered"; the above list seems much more logical. But Bats is definitely out, GA is going to drive this team.

Plus the GA/Question interplay would be good to see again.

This also does cover the Mr. Terrific appearance too.

Still, I wouldn't put it past Timm and Co. to insert Wing instead of Nemesis, especially if it leads to a Green Hornet/Kato homage. Didn't they say this whole season was a nod to 40+ fanboys?

And I'm not much of a Nemesis fan anyway.

Episode #31 - “Flash and Substance”

Could this be the springboard to a (somewhat more serious) Flash TAS I've been dreaming about? Plenty of action and plotlines available with such a rich Rogue's gallery. Not to mention time travel, dimensional travel, and other pseudo-scientific story potential.

Ah heck, I'll settle for Mirror Master, the Flash Museum, and a little respect from Bats. That'll do.

Episode #32 - “Dead Reckoning”

A Big Three ep makes a nice respite from all the other character appearances this season--heros and villains--but especially so, dressed up with Deadman. Sure looks like a Nanda Parbat tie in to me (done McDuffie/Timm style, natch). Lovin this.

Episode #33 - “Patriot Act”

I hope this is as good as it sounds like it could be. Definitely the best potential for a character episode. Major Force is a good bet with the patriotic title, but it could be anyone, really.

Episode #34 - “The Great Brain Robbery”

If all you think about is the title, this sure looks like "Kid Stuff" v2. But I'm gonna stick my neck out and predict this might not be as silly as everyone is expecting. Figure on Luthor to go all megalomaniacal on us once he's so obviously superpowered (he'd never be that loyal to the LoD, after all). But they could take a "Flash infiltrates the LoD" direction that is largely serious, with only a few silly moments for comic relief. Another thought, at any rate.

As for the VAs, they just have to write it straight, then switch scripts. But clearly, Clancy Brown will have the greater challenge. All Rosenbaum has to do is slip into Smallville mode, after all...

So that would mean a Green Lantern could be in it then. The ring is just a accessorie as well. Most Green Lanterns dont have actual "powers".

The season looks like it will shape up nicely. I only hope we get some J'onn in action and Aquaman.

The argument is a stupid one. If they are doing a SSoV episode, they are going to use Stars & S.T.R.I.P.E powers or not! I highly doubt they will substitue an actual Legionnaire with a random crime fighter from the Watchtower, it wouldn't be the SSoV epsidoe then! Out of the original 40's era Legionnaire, only three members have yet to be on JLU, Speedy (because of TT) the original Star Spangled Kid (they went with Courtney Whitmore over Sylvester Pemberton) and Wing!. I guarantee that Wing will be the seventh member in the episode, and if it isn't I'll eat my monitor!
