why is justice league on so late?

why is justice league on at 10 now? the only explaination i have is low ratings, but itsbetter than all of that anime stuff they have on toonami. the only other reason i have is that the content may be a little to old for y7 even tho that is the rating. i mean the dress comment. however, i know i wouldn't have realized wut they meant at age 7, so its not that bad

season 2 of justice League aired at the same time 10m. it obviously is not low ratings doh..its just some of the content i would assume is not for kiddies. They also want to attract that 18 to 30 something demographic i bet.

That's probably it. Maybe moving the show to a different timeslot is easier than having to go through all the paperwork of getting the rating changed or appeasing the censors.

I think they're realizing the demographic that seems to give the show a good response is the "young adult" age. Maybe they plan on showing us some darker and grittier stories and images. Tackling issues that are more "adult oriented."

It's on late because the show has sexual innuendo, lesbian jokes, and implied sex. Not to mention some fights are pretty violent.

JL is a better lead-in to AS than either Zatch Bell or One Piece. But the real reason is probably as simple as they needed to fill the slot for a couple weeks until the regular Toonami schedule begins.

I never thought 10 pm on a Saturday was that late, to hit the kid demographic. Yeah, its good for the young adult audience, but really what are kids doing on saturday nights? watching tv. i remember Ren and Stimpy and Rugrats were on late, werent they? they were on "snick", right? so really its not that late, since its Saturday. Seems the perfect time slot to reach the 10-12 demographic, imo. peace.

Hey, what happened to the Sunday night re-runs? Oh wait, those were always on at 10, weren't they?

Well, I doubt it's a content issue, considering Naruto is rated TV-PG and it airs an hour before Justice League. But, I really don't think Cartoon Network considers 10:00-11:00 on Saturday a dead timeslot, considering how well Rurouni Kenshin, Dragonball GT, and One Piece did in that timeslot.

I dont mind that. What I dont like is that Teen Titans and TMNT and Naruto were on about 6 times over this last weekend. JLU was shown once and I missed it. I think CN hates JLU personally.

I would gleam that from the way they are pushing that anime stuff down our throats so fierce. I mean what is up with that "One Piece" trash!?! I can almost dig Naruto, but there are zero redeeming qualities about One Piece. I am sorry, I just think that JLU/JL have gotten a bum deal over at CN. I would so love it if the powers that be, would allow them to bring that quality show over to HBO as an animated series. That way the kid gloves can come off and Timm & Co. can really cut loose.

..... I think that part of that is just me being feed up with the way I can't escape the anime invasion on multiple channels (not just CN), and being feed up with the lack of face time for the few CN shows that I do like. I digress.

I do hate that the JLU is on less frequently than I would prefer, but I do like the 10:00pm slot. A very nice lead in for Adult Swim, if I am at home, and if not I program the vcr once and let it ride .

Well they used to show TMNT about 4 times a day. I forgot its not on anymore. I miss the summer of 2003 when JL was on 6 nights a week. Good times.

Heh, I have TiVo, which means it automatically records all episodes of B: TAS and S: TAS, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited...also Naruto, but meh.
I'm also considering getting a season pass on Teen Titans now that new episodes are coming up.

But yeah, I'm with a lot of the others.
Justice League is way too violent for Miguzi, but not so much that they need to put it on Adult Swim.

Why would CN hate JLU? It's one of there most popular shows if I remember correctly

    My reasoning is this:

JLU is an "ADULT" themed toon. Thats one of the things I like ablut JLU. The "Cadmus series" was a complex story, slightly above the average 10 year olds ability to understand it. It also was "racey" with sexual overtones in certain episodes (GL/Hawkgirl/Vixen and Question/Huntress)...also violent themes were suggested...(like Lex killing Flash). This kinda stuff isn't meant for the average 12 and under crowd...thus the 10pm time slot.

    Thats my take on it.
