A Plasticman cartoon? To bad the comic is getting cancelled. Oh and I wonder what style it will be in.
I read this over in the rumor column at the www.comicbookresources.com website:
LITG understands from a DC source that "Plastic Man," this year's Eisner-winning series from Kyle Baker and DC Comics, has been cancelled from issue 20. Bugger.
It's also interestingly timed as a Plastic Man cartoon show is in the works at Warner Bros, based in part upon Baker's run, although he's been denied any participation in the project.

8. Handle or recommend handling so that it stays handled.
First I've heard of this, now what's that reason that Plastic Man can't appear in JLU again?

A new Plastic Man cartoon? Let's hope it's better than the last cartoon they did! I watched that cartoon as a young kid and thought it was pretty bad then. Any of you guys old enough to remember this toon? I believe it aired in the late 70's or early 80's. The one thing that sticks out in my head is: BABY PLAS!!![]()

i remember watching it, it wasn't a classic but not that bad.

Please don't let this be true... there must be about a million characters more deserving of a cartoon than Plastic Man.
Makes sense though... he's not allowed to appear on JLU, this could be why.
I watched the Plastic Man cartoon as a kid, and liked it (even if it was cheesy...).
Wouldn't mind seeing a new Plastic Man cartoon, esp. since I figure it'd have to be pretty funny/amusing... :-)

I don't know... I love the DC Universe and welcome a new DCU cartoon. I'm just not sure Plastic Man would be my first choice (or even 50th choice for a new cartoon).

A bit of interesting info:

"No man escapes the Manhunters!"
If this is really based on Baker's run, we have a lot to look forward to.
And Dave Coulier would voice him perfectly!

Interesting. I doubt this will be spectacular, but I'll reserve judgement until I see it.
"Of course, all this magic business is just so much bull dust. Isn't it? We civilized people know that such goings on are ridiculous gibber, don't we? Sure we do: we don't trust anything but our good, reliable horoscope."-Peter Hathaway Capstick
That just-cancelled comic book is one of the only runs of the last five years that I can say I truly enjoyed.
Has anyone read Ty Templeton's Plastic Man special from around 2000 or so? Probably the single most hillarious piece of work I've ever read.
I hope this happens, I'm a huge Plastic Man fan!

The voice of Sponge-Bob? Could be cool.
I hope this series happens, I'd definitely watch it if it doesn't turn out to be aimed at the very, very young.

I saw a thing on the TV Guide Channel (you know, the channel with all the tv listings and some programs on part of the screen, usually about reality TV shows, on a cable/satellite system) where they were interviewing Dave Coulier and he mentioned his working on a Plastic Man cartoon. He said he was voicing Plastic Man's mentor,a fellow named Artie, and Tom Kenney would be voicing Plas himself. He said it was going to be on the Kids WB,but with the WB and UPN shutting down and merging into the CW,I wonder where it's going to go now?
I'm surprised there hasn't been more discussion on this. I'm a little worried about it being too much like other kid's shows these days where the humor is just beyond stupid and unfunny and it looks like cheap, Americanized anime.
However, if the tone is anything like Tom Kenny's most famous show (Spongebob), then I don't think there's much to worry about.

why wasn't Plasticman ever in the DCAU???
From what we know now, probably because this series was in development and his rights were tied up as a result.Originally Posted by BoyScout

Hmm, a little odd that Bruce Timm nor James Tucker mentioned this series in the last WF interview. Nonetheless, sounds interesting that Kenny is involved.

Why would they break news on a show they have nothing to do with?
