I hope we get to see more of Arthur in the next season of JLU....I thought not only as a character but as a DC figure he brought a lot to the table storyline wise. And, just for the record, I always did think he got somewhat of the shaft when they choose Hawkgirl over him as a member of the original 7, even though since JL Season 1 Hawkgirl has shown vast improvements in her personality and drive. I've always wanted to see how he would face up against all of the other heroes.

With Superman, I think its clear that Superman would give Aquaman too much respect for Aquaman to ever get mad at him. I could see Aquaman somewhat pushing Batman and GL's buttons, but I could see him getting along with Flash and Hawkgirl surprisingly well. As far as Diana goes, well - I could actually see somewhat of a love interest between the 2 of them. Both of them come from royalty....both of them feel as if they are abandoning their homes.....even though he's married and Wonder Woman is already hinted to have a relationship with Batman, it would make for an interesting little triple triangle.

Your memory is a monster; you forget - it doesnt. It simply files things away. It keeps things for you, or hides things from you - and summons them to your recall with a will of its own. You think you have a memory; but it has you!

Aquaman was missed last season. He didnt show up for any eps not even as a minor role. Hopefully we get him this season.

I hope he shows up, too. While I love the new characters that we got to know this last season -- like Huntress, Black Canary, Vigilante, Captain Marvel, and Wildcat -- I miss old favourites like Aquaman, Dr. Fate, and the Atom. If this is going to be the last season (although I obviously hope it won't be), then let's try to see everyone one last time.

Technically speaking, yes...But JLU was created as a 26 episode single season, its CN that divided it. If you want to look at it that way he has had two episodes per season for a total of six appearances. Personally I prefer it that way, Aquaman has a tendency to get boring after awhile, he is hard to keep interesting.Still I wouldn't mind seeing him a little more often. I did like seeing him more involved with the JL in the Ultimen episode. I guess after a couple alien invasions he realized he needs to be a better team player.

I liked that as well. We dont see the "team player" Aquaman that often. I have enjoyed all of his appearances so far. I just hope Timm and co dont limit him to there having to be water around for him to be affective. The guy is a bad ass on land or water. He has a pretty good voice actor as well that really gets that toughness across.

Well there could be a good reason for Aquaman showing up next season as..

    Spoiler:
the Legion of Doom is rumored to include Black Manta in its lineup

...so they may be tempted to pit those two against each other
I'm not sure if I can tell the truth... I can only tell what I know.

I can see why some might find Aquaman a tad bit dull sometimes, as he has been written as a bit of a stiff lately (and a rude one at that, namely when he tried to get a rise out of Hawkgirl in "Wake the Dead"), but his personal story is particularily interesting. Since S:TAS there was been a strong tension between him and the people on the surface. Now he's working with them, as a member of the JLU. Why? I mean, yes, he's AQUAMAN from DC COMICS so it's no surprise, but I don't understand why Arthur, King of Atlantis, decided to devote so much time to stopping the problems that didn't concern him. If there was one thing that "The Enemy Below" made clear, it was that he had better things to do.

Anyway I think finding out more about why he's made the choices he has (since he made them offscreen) and then figuring out a way to wrap up the status of Atlantis (hidden city the surface-dwellers respect, or something Aquaman must protect at all costs?) would be in the best interests of his character arc.

At least he got to sit at the big conference table in the secret room (in "Ultimatum") that the Question said was reserved for founding members only (in "Question Authority").

It might be cool to have Aquaman go missing in action at the end of an episode next season to reflect his future status in BB (in "The Call").

Not something I would like to see becasue that would mean he is never coming back. Atleast not for 50 + years. Its too early to have his character go missing if you ask me.

i'm sure Aquaman will appear in season three considering his recent
exposure on HBO's 'Entourage' series. What i hope is that Bruce Timm
and Co. update his appearance so he's once again consistent with his
comicbook counterpart. Doesn't have to be exact but i wouldn't mind
seeing the orange shirt and shorter hair.

I personally prefer his new look with the hook. It makes him look tougher and more experienced. I take him more serious this way. I am a traditionalist, but in Aquaman's case, I think it's an improvement.

Good point, I always thought that the transition of Arthur as King of Atlantis to member of the JLU would lead to an estrangement with his kingdom yet again and either Orm would return and stage another coup or even [spoiler] Black Manta would try something since at SDCC it seemed to be hinted that the LOD would be indirectly and directly involved in stories. And Alex Ross did say he was interested in seeing what similarities and differences from this 'arc' and his current mini-series would intail. [spoiler]

Another theory I had was since
    Spoiler:
Warlord and Skartaris were mentioned so it reminded me that in the history of Skartaris, it contains a hidden colony of Atlantis as well as home of Ganuth, a powerful mage that was one of the greatest villains in all of Atlantis' history. It would be a great way to bridge the past to the present with an unresolved conflict.

I apologize if my post had too many spoilers, Disney Boy.

Don't apologize! You used spoiler boxes! That's exactly what you're supposed to do!

I really know nothing about Aquaman's history, so those names don't mean too much to me. As long as the next season of episodes actually deals with the characters and their stories in a less "style" and more "substance" way, I should be happy. Throw in as many Aquaman villains as you want, all I want is a good story...

Not a problem, there's only a handful of Aquaman villains. The only ones seen on JL/JLU so far were only Orm in "enemy below" and the Fire Trolls in "ultimatum". But that person I mentioned would be interesting since it would bridge Atlantean history even more since the only real insight we have is the end of Posiden's reign from the flashback in "the terror beyond".
