So what do you think he has in mind. JL movie or a whole new show, but about who, the Question?![]()
Here is something that I thought you people might be interested in hearing.
Dwayne Mcduffie posted this on his forum...
"I'm working on three projects I can't talk about yet. I'm also working on something that will be of great interest to this board, if it comes off."
Wonder what show/ movie he's trying to make. Most likely its DCAU related on how he posted this on the DC section of the forum. So will this be the last season of JLU or will he do two shows if the show gets made, or movie and show if thats the case. And anyone who think its Legion of Superheros, Dwayne said he's not working on that.

I am Vengeance, I am the Night, I AM BATMAN!
This is purely a fanfic-type idea I admit - but a good idea for a JL movie would be a pre-Secret Origins story where Batman first meets Shayera and Superman first meets John. Of course I'm going on what Karkull's Watchtower site says about that episode (Batman seems to know her/Superman seems to know him already in SO Part 2), but yeah that might be nice to see done.
That, or an 'origin story' (I usually don't use that phrase) for Johnny. In his childhood, his marine days, his early Corp days, of course Katma Tui, etc. I'm not one who cares about having Messrs Rayner or Jordan animated again any time soon so I wouldn't worry about putting them in the foreground.
Ahem, but anyway I am looking forward to what Mr McDuffie has in store for the DCAU and these three other projects. I've often thought that after they finish their take on the DC characters, Timm, McDuffie, and the others should do something original, it'd be amazing.
I guess I'd be hoping in vain that one is a BTAS movie.
So I'll hope for:
I wouldn't mind a JLU movie but I won't hope for that until after the series is over.
- The Question animated series
- Batman Beyond movie
- Static movie

A Question Animated Series?! Where did you guys get this from? I mean I know DM wrote the episodes, but is there anything else to suggestion the Question Animated Series? eeee...
Why, tis no matter, man; if they did hear,
They would not mark me, or if they did mark,
They would not pity me, yet plead I must;

- Act 3, Scene 1
A Question Animated Series is just a speculation of one of the projects McDuffie might be working on, and what some fans would like to see. There is no proof yet that there will be a Question Animated Series.Originally posted by nerium oleander

If my prayers were answered, it would be a Nightwing Animated Series. I won't hold my breath, though...
Maybe a properly-animated Gotham Girls? It sort of seems like McDuffie's style.
Oh no worries, wasn't planning on running off with that, just wondering if there was any further evidence to support that speculation. Of course if it helps, I'd be willing to sell my blood to fund getting that pitch made.Originally Posted by Batman Fan

Rapidly becoming one of my faves on JLU, it would be fun to see him in an Adult Swim series like a "Ghost in the shell" anime!
Blue Beetle and Booster Gold animated sitcom, please. :anime:
Only if they have B'Wanna Beast as thier wacky neighbor.Originally Posted by Ion
I like The Question, but I wouldn't want to see a show centered around him. He's like The Fonz, good as a side character or the occasional focus on a show with many other characters, but wouldn't work as the star of a show. The Question shows up on JLU sometimes and has a lot of great lines, but his schtick would be get stale if it was the center of attention every week on a show.
am guessing it is the jlu movie set after starcrossed and before JLU. am sure the bat embargo will be over soonOriginally Posted by Bones Justice

Question: Please......I go through everyone's trash
But Fonz was the star of the show...Originally Posted by Question Mark
But move Fonzie from the Happy Days environment into another one and I doubt the character would work as strongly.

My guess is the one thats "supose to be of interest" to us (McDuffie, now EVERYTHING you do will be of interest to us), would be a JLU dtv movie. It's earned it, and i think it would do well.
What would i want to see? Ah, BATMAN and batman villians. A rtoj type batman story (maybe involving catwoman) where the JLU is involved, and we see Batman and his world as a focus, but the JLU has a big role to play. I know, i know, but MAYBE since its a 'movie' or dtv it will be given different rules, and the embargo can be averted?![]()
And seriously, Dwayne McDuffy, tells us about your projects, i know i'm a fan now, and i'd be sure to check whatever it is out. peace.
I want to believe that the dead are not lost to us, that they speak to us, as part of something greater than us, greater than any alien force. And if you and I are powerless now, I want to believe that if we listen to it speak, it can give us the power to save ourselves.

It could also be one of the other Milestone comics like Icon adapted as well. It would be a chance to sneak in guest stars from Static Shock.

I know, but my point is that he was the star of the show because he stole the show from the other characters, who were its main focus. He couldn't steal the show if it was given to him in the first place! If it was called "The Fonz Show" instead of "Happy Days" from the beginning, I'm sure the character wouldn't have reached his iconic status. I saw a "Biography" type show once in which it was explained that the network wanted to give Fonz his own show, and he rejected the idea for the exact same reasons I'm disappoving of this Question idea. He's a great character when he guest stars on someone else's show and steals every scene he's in, and he should be left that way.But Fonz was the star of the show...
I would love to see a Hardware DTV. Hardware was my favorite Milestone comic. I always hoped he would guest-star on Static Shock before it was over but the character barely managed a mention once.Originally Posted by kenshi528

Hardware was one of my favorite Milestone comics (along with Icon) it would really be interesting to see him do something with him.Originally Posted by Bones Justice
