Nope, there are no plans for a B:GA Annual. The main reason is becuase annuals usualy sell 30 - 50% less than the ongpoing series and cost more to make. B:GA sells around 14,000 direct sales copies a month, making the most an annual would sell around 8000 - 9000, way under the profitable line for DC. The last Batman Adventures annual was THE BATMAN & ROBIN ADVENTURES annual #2 in 1998.

Gee...for some reason, I suspected that to be different, that annuals would sell better. I don't know why, maybe becauase when I was younger and had a more limited expense account, if I was on the fence deciding whether or not to pick up a series, I would buy the annual to check it out. And if I collect a series, the annual is a must buy. I guess other comic book readers don't think the same about annuals as I do. Bummer.

An annual would be so great... it's been so long since we last saw one, and I'm sure Ty, Burchett and everyone would come back if they ever made one.

    Batman Annual 1996

I just read the Batman and Robin Adventures Annual from 1996. Its awesome! I had no idea that Phantasm returned. Dini did a great job of confusing who was the mastermind behind the scheme was again. He's very good at fooling the comic audience.

Awesome avatar, Tim! Anyways, it would be great to see another annual. Just one more. I was diheartened when DC stopped producing them a few years back. That THE BATGIRL ADVENTURES would've made a nice annual, but still makde a killer special. I'd love to see Ty Templeton, Rick Burchett, Tim Levin, Craig Rousseaum, Kelly Puckett, Paul Dini, and Bruce Timm chip into make anice 64 page annual.

As for BATMAN & ROBIN ADVENTURES ANNUAL #1, that was a great annual! It was also the late, great Mike Parobeck' last piece of published work.

I have been waiting for an annual forever! I really want to see artwork by Bruce Timm or Ty. What kind of story would you guys like it to be? I think it would be really cool if Dini and Timm did a final Mr. Freeze story to wrap up his history. A special written from Nora Fries' point of view. I really want to see those two reunited. After all, her current husband, Francis D'Ajou, said that she still loves Victor! And after changing him to have no human emotions (Cold Comfort), it would be nice to see Victor Freeze smile again. And if anything could do it, a kiss from Nora could!
So, what kind of story would you like to see in a special? Catwoman and Batman ? Ra's Al Ghul? Joker? Bane? Oh, and lets not forget that someday (hopefully) we'll get the Harley and Ivy miniseries!

Annuals and specials I would like to see

If they brought back the annuals or did more specials, my vote would be to have more Batman Beyond stories. I find it a crying shame that this series is over, and that the comic book is dead in the water. At least if they had annuals and specials, they could keep this character alive and going. And we could be treated to some of the stories that didn't make it on to TV, and also see some of the other villains "Beyondized" that were never touched upon in the series.

Outside of that, how about an appearance from the Grey Ghost? I would like to see more of the obscure yet good characters from the animated series make their way into the comic book annuals and specials.
