Rules Of The Board (Everyone Read!)

Well, since I banned the first person from the boards today for breaking quite a bit of rules, I figure I might as well bored you with a short talk about these boards. This might go on for awhile so if you wanna grab some milk and a sandwich -- go now. Anways, let's begin.

Let me start by saying that posting this is embarrassing to me and insulting to you. Embarrassing to me becuase after alll the hard work that is put into this site, people still try to dog it by insulting and breaking the rules. Insulting to you becuase the vast majority of you are smart, intelligent folks and shouldn't have to hear this. But since I had to BAN someone today, it's obvious that some of you folks are not listening, which just boggles my mind.

I respect everyone here. I respect your opinions, your thoghts, and your comments. I love all that stuff, which you can obviously tell as I post a wild streak about everyday. But when someone breaks the rules willingly, that's when I lose respect for the person. I've stated probably close to one hundred times to always follow the rules. Respect the rules and the rules will respect you. It's as simple as that.

Break the rules, and they'll come back and bite you in the arse. I don't take very kindly to people who willingly break the rules for their own pleasure and upset people. I don't think anyone likes those kind of people and I hate thinking that there are posters on these boards like that. I try and treat everyone fairly here, and no one gets special treatment. Whether you be newbie or vet, there's no leeway when the rules are broken. Heck, even we moderators gotta keep in line becuase we ar eposters just like you. If you prick us, do we not bleed?


Anyways, I'm just telling you this now, becuase it seems like good timing. We've had a stelar first month. I've only had to give warnings to 4 people (one of whom which was banned) and that's not too shabby. I just think that everyone should review the URL=http://www.toonzone.net/worldsfinest/worldsfinestpage/boardrules.htm]rules[/URL] and make sure they know the ins and outs. But the rules are just common knowledge, in my opinion. I ahte banning people and sending off warnings, but I will do it, as will my fellow mods, if we have to. Simple as that.

I totally agree, I haven't been around lately and I totally don't know what happened. But you did the right thing.

This is why these boars rock. There are boards out there that let kids like Batmite get away with that stuff. It's a shame, too.

Yet another reason why I love you guys. We have a really good thing here. A real sense of community that I don't find on other boards. Rulebreakers have no place here. I have no idea what the guy did (even though I'm slightly interested), it's just good that he's gone.

Thank you, NW38116. You reminded me of something I should add for everyone's future reference. This incident was not as dramatic as past ones were, fortunately, but even so posters often want to know what happened. It's been precedented that if you feel you have a right to know, being a member of the community and all, it's prefered if he or she asks via an email to a mod, and not on the board(s). Ya know, short and sweet, so the incident can be put behind us all as quickly as possible.

Heh...I don't think I've ever read any rules on any chatroom, boards or anything. I pretty much know what a person can, and can't do. I mean..it's basically this:

1) Don't Cuss
2) Don't diss ppl
3) Don't flood w/ posts


That's basically it...heh. Anyway, I hope the person who was banned (Whome..by the way had a very nice avatar) will learn from his expierience, and be able to join us again in the future.

Bingo, Bird_Boy! The rules are vastly common sense! It still just amazes me that people will willingly break rules when we have such an amazing thing going here. A great sense of commiunity and an amazing group of people!
