Batman Beyond Box Set DVDs out now?

    Like This Thread!
    Hello everyone,

I was searching toonzone.net and I noticed a link to DVDsalon where two volumes of Batman Beyond can be found for sale at $69.99. The box art looks pretty darn good, and the website claims that it's two box set DVDs containing all 52 episodes of the show. Since the site is being advertised on toonzone, a website I love and TRUST, I would expect that this is a legitimate claim.

    here's the link: [removed]

    however...

Obviously, this DVD has been made by some fan or company other than warner bros, correct? The only Box set DVDs that I know exist are Batman: The Animated Series Volumes 1 & 2 (both of which I own), and Superman Volume 1. Both Batman Volume 2 and Superman Volume 1 just came out today (01/25/05).

I have never heard of Batman Beyond making it to DVD in a box set.

So has anybody here bought this?

    Is it any good?

Is it worth it or should we all hold out into Warner Bros themselves puts Batman Beyond on DVD?

Is Warner Bros ever going to put BB on DVD in box sets (ala Batman/Superman)?

The price is pretty steep ($69.99), but to have all 52 episodes on DVD sounds sweet.

    What does everyone think?

    Thanks

Well, that claim is probably correct.

    But it's still a bootleg.

I've been staring at this thing for a while now...I e-mailed their assistance people asking about the video quality and if there are WB! or Cartoon Network logos in the corner of the video...I'm waiting to hear back. In any case...if I hear good news from them...this might be worth it. Batman Beyond will take forever to come out, if it ever does...and if they DID make Season Box sets of BB, you can be sure the combined cost of the three of them would be more than $70...probably $19.99 for the first, and at least $24.99 for the two follow ups. And that's the best case scenario, making the price the same. If Season 2 and 3 are $30 or up, this is way cheaper. I would probably like to own the real ones though, and at this price I could probably sell this one to somebody pretty cheap and use that to get the real ones. If anyone has any purchase experience with DVD Salon, your input would be appreciated.

They're bootlegs. WB hasn't officially announced what they're doing with BB, but I'd expect we'll see something from it once they finish putting BTAS and STAS out. Baby steps...

Until then--these are bootlegs and are 100% illegal. I don't advise purchasing them as you'll get an inferior product with poor video quality (I don't care how good they say it is, ask to see a screenshot before plunking down the money and then decide).
