    Mad Stan

After watching COUNTDOWN moments ago, does anyone else think MAD STAN could totally support his own series? I can imagine 13 episodes of Stan travelling around the globe blowing things up and trying to set things his way by any means necessary. He could quite possibly be one of the top characters in the series.

Now there's a show I'd pay good money to see. Just Stan, explosives, and popcorn. Life would be good.

Maybe we should try to talk Bruce Timm into the idea?

    well

I don't imagine WB would put it on their network, and I just can't see that series doing well. But I really would like seeing him planting Bombs on Pokemon headquarters, Zeta headquarters...and..well..you get the idea...

That show would be excellent! Too bad it will never be made unless a miracle happens.

    See ya!

That would be a show that I would get up at 6:00 to see. Although the sensors may not like it.

That show would be great. Mad Stan in his beefed-up RV with his dog, blowing stuff up.

Something tells me that that would make the highest rated episode of TZP yet.

It's all just a pipe dream, but it'd just be a hilarious and different cartoon than the stuff we get force fed. And welcome to the board Mad San! Glad to see ya here!

Argh! I keep missing Countdown! And I love that wacky psychopath. His own show would be great, especially the "RV and his dog" idea. I can see it now, Stan driving along with a miniature doberman by his side as he rants affectionately yet psychotically to the dog... gawd, that's a fanfic idea just waiting to happen.

In ways, Stan reminds me of that wonderful baddie from the Tick, The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs At Midnight. Anyone else remember him?

    Ah, yes--

--I do. Although Stan is beefier, rather more like Big Shot, who was a parody of the Punisher on Spiderman, I believe. The dog is a Chihuahua, actually--or in Ro's words, "a barking rat". I originally gave "Countdown" a mixed review because I felt they could have done a bit more with it, and I never quite got why a man so anti-technology would have it aboard his boat (though someone compared it to a surgeon using a scalpel to treat a stab wound...and maybe Stan just likes irony). My biggest grumble is that it'd be too easy to drag slumbering Stan off to the hoosegow, if the cops have a warrant; surely they have the evidence from his latest nutty rampage to book him on. Plus I wonder who takes care of his dog when he's in the clink?

    Yes

That would be the best show. Maybe we could hire some dudes do draw out the cartoon. And make a one hour episode. And then somehow hack into the WB Schedules and it would air. And then everyone would see it and love it. And we would all be rich..

    Just a thought.... lol..

It would be a cool show.

I think Mad Stan is a hilarious character. Although we're likely never going to see a Mad Stan series, it would be hilarious to imagine. He remains one of my favorite characters on the show. He could pull a show, definatly, I think but it'd be the censors that would dog him.

But with Mad Stan you get more explosions than with Zeta. Besides with Mad Stan you shouldn't expect deep plots, just Stan blowing up the gov't stuff. As a limited 13 ep series I think it could work.

Or DC could just give Stan his own comic.

I hope you stick around for awhile, Mad Stan! And it is possible the MS show would get old, but he'd find new and interesting ways to blow things up, I'm sure. He's MAD STAN! Maybe his dog could pitch in.

Yeah it would get old quick. And it wouldn't probably go anywhere, but despite all the negative aspects of it, notice how so many of us are behind it!! Mad Stan rules!!!

AND, we are such a huge unruly mob, the show's producers wouldn't even THINK about casting anyone other than Henry Rollins too!

    Henry Rollins has a Pinhead

I'd have thought Stan would be perhaps more likely - if ever - to appear in comic format than cartoon.. hell, then there would be no 'artistic constraints' for Stan!
