    Fave Hasbro Toy Line

    Like This Thread!
Well, I assume all of you know the hasbro toy lines, and I'll give you an example of each:
    BB- Batman Beyond series line
    TAS- The Animated Series line
    BF- Batman Forever Movie line
    BR- Batman Returns movie line
    B&R- Batman & Robin line
    TNBA- New Batman Adventures
LOB- Legends of Batman (like pirate adventures and stuff)
KFK- Knight Force Ninja (very short lived. only line of which Azrael was made)
LOTDK- Legends of the Dark Knight (sorta liked the warped Batman. Long ears, weird weapons, and the villians were ugly as heck. the women were rather... uh.. scantly clad..w/ big boobs)

Ok. so which one is your fave? Mine is the LOTDK. I love the size of em'... the Man-Bat fig had a wing span of 15" for friggin' sakes!!!! And he's like 8" tall. I loved that line. but it ended w/o notice, and I was never able to get the Batgirl from the line..which I still want..very badly!!

    BTAS

It had the most merchandise. Between that and TNBA that had nearly every character you could want. As well as two batmobiles, a batplane, wayne manor, etc. Plus they released the only Alfred toy and are releasing Gordon!

Well TNBA and BB were probably the most disappointing lines, because there weren't so many things beside Batman.

My fav lines are BTAS and Batman Returns & Dark Knight (1. Movie). The vehicles for Batman Returns were just awesome, especially the Batmissile and the Batwing.

The package design of the 1st 2 BTAS waves was excellent! The red background with the skyline and on top was the BTAS Batman logo. I cannot understand why they changed the background color into blue for the 3rd wave.

I also like the huge Batman Forever Batcave. It doesn't look too much like Batman Forever, it looks more like an animated Batcave.
Two-Face:"Get out of my face Clown!"

    Mr. J:"Which one?!"

I basically hate Ha$bro's Batman lines. Repaints apon repaints of Batman, especially the BB line. Look, little Timmy can now make "ElectroCheese Batman Beyond" fight with "Zebra Stripe Urban assault Batman Beyond"! I want toys that look like the characters in the show. The only BB figure I have is the BB ROTJ release, and even that's a repaint of an earlier figure, one that was a clearish blue, so that when you hold him to the light (or if any light even touches him) you can see right through him. Bagh! And then there's the articulation! Don't even get me started on the articulation.

That said, my favorite of Ha$bro's toy lines would have to go to their Beast Wars lines. Now there are some toys! (If only I could find myself an Inferno.) *Pulls Dragon mode Megatron off the shelf*

    Megatron: "Ahh, lunch time."
BB figure: "Quickly, I must run to safety. But my legs won't let me" *screams like a little girl*
    Megatron: *munch* *munch*

    Hasbro

All the animated lines start out great. Even TNBA began with a line giving us unique scuplts and original costumes. Robin really stood out in that first series cuz he was different. The animated series line did give us allt he villains, vehicles, and playsets you could handle before they got lazy and started the repaints, but even in the end of that line we got Ra's Al Ghul, Machine Gun Joker, the first Batgirl figure, and of course Harley Quin. Now at the end of TNBA, these 4-packs are giving us ALfred and Commisioner Gordon. Overall, you can't complain much, but I think itd be better if it was handled more like the Spider-man Classics line.....totally awesome figures that leave you drooling for more. The line is difinitive to spider-man (they even come with a full-size comic!) as well as capture spidey and crew in their finest. Batman could be handled that way too, I dunno about a comic pack in, and a huge detailed base, but the 4 figure series would work where our lazy hasbro friends wouldn't have to roll out seven figures a month or something. Like, series one with Batman, Joker, Robin, and Harley, then the next line BTAS Batman, Batgirl, Two-face, and maybe Nightwing with his cycle. Ya know, keep it colorful and different which wouldn't be hard with Batman. No line has to be just Batman, or just villains. Theirs enough females to keep one in every series or every other series. And if hasbro did this as a general Batman line, then youd have even more possibilities, like Batman Forever Batman, or Batman Returns Batman....its endless, all it needs to be is handled right. DC Direct would do great with it if given the opportunity. Its too bad if HAsbro does get the Justice League rights we're in risk of getting a bunch of repaints after like two years. Then again, Justice League could be what changes the tide, the continually increasing cast of heroes and villains wouldn't be something to take lightly, and DC definetly should be able to make sure fans can say "I what a toy of that for my shelf" and go out and buy it in a few months if not right away. Spawn did it, Spider-man is doing it, X-men is doing it.....when will Hasbro and DC jump on this bandwagon to success?? Well....Im done ranting now.

The Only line that was out was TNBA when I started to collect but I have to say that I liked it and hated it at times I never saw so many repaints and half the figures that came out I could'nt find like the riddler. But the good parts of the series was that they were well made toys that looked awsome and had a lot of vareity.
