Remember, he knew he was going to die, every hero is willing to make that sacrifice, Superman even said so himself in "Initition." (For the record, Flash had a pretty good reaction to when he found out Batman was gonna die, although J'onn was kinda like "I don't care" Bad Martian!) Had he not called Superman, he probably would've died, but I'm sure if he hadn't been cut off he would've told him a lot more, but Clark being the nice guy he is came to his rescue. Now if Batman had died, they'd be facing an even deeper dilemmia than they did. Hawkgirl had betrayed them, the Watchtower and Javelin would've gone and another League member would've been gone for good (not to mention one of the founders, even though he wouldn't admit if, I mean he provided the Watchtower and Clark brought team in) Not to mention we probably would've gotten glimpses of a private funeral the League would hold him (and see a couple of thousand cameos from Batman characters) And he would whether he liked it or not be remembered as a world hero like Dan Turpin. But I'm ranting.![]()
Anyway what would the League have done from there on, I mean Batman was died, Hawkgirl resigned and they lost their base of operations. I have no doubt Batman was key in helping the League rebuild into what they are now. But what do you think they would do?

"Don't forget us when you're famous!"
Go on without Batman or Look for someone new to join in the League who's quality is a lot like Batman's
The other option is to quit being a Justice League Team and be individual heroes like they did before there was Justice League.
I wonder were Justice League got money to rebuild their Watchtower and Javelin ?

How did you determine that J'onn didnt care? because he didnt fall to the ground?Originally Posted by Batman's Biggest Fan
The League would of course countinue. If they disbanded because a member died then he would have died in vain. The League still has a mission and that is protecting Earth. Although I would guess Hawkgirl would have a lifetime ban if Batman had died because of her betrayal. They would rebuild though.Anyway what would the League have done from there on, I mean Batman was died, Hawkgirl resigned and they lost their base of operations. Pretty sure that Superman would have held the group together. I'm sure some other rich superhero would have chipped in the bucks for another space station. Or better yet, Dick or Tim would be in charge of the Wayne fortune and since they're in on the whole superhero thing too, it probably would have continued the same way, just without Batman.

Ok to add to the topic what do you think the League would do to honor Batman? I mean they wouldn't ignore his heroic sacrifice. I definately think Batgirl, Robin and Nightwing would join the League to honor their mentor, if they haven't already.
I wouldn't be suprised if Dick Greyson was listed as heir to the Wayne fortune in Bruce's will. Someone as well-prepared as Batman probably also has an "in the event of my death" program in his computer that Alfred's supposed to run if something happens to him--something that would explain Wayne's death so as not to connect him to Batman? I'm sure he knows that any night he goes out could be his last and has his affairs in order and wishes spelled out somewhere.
Dick would most likely continue funding the JL, and, being the one who trained the hardest and longest alongside Batman, take his place in the Leage. Maybe Bruce would even want him to take up the mantle of Batman rather than continue as Nightwing! I'm sure most of the Bat-rogues would figure it out (except maybe Croc), but the scum of Gotham would go nuts if it got out that Batman was dead.
You'd almost want to figure out how they'd explain Bruce Wayne dying at the same time. I almost wonder if they would have revealed his identity to the public or not...
They could have Dick dress up in his Bruce Wayne costume from "The Strange Secret Of Bruce Wayne," or they could he say he was killed by a Thanagarian soldier (they DID invade his house afterall).Originally Posted by Captain_Lothar
Batman probably has an entire plan in the event of his death like yeah. He wouldn't announce Batman's death, and make sure no one announced it. Nightwing would take over as Batman, and no one would realize Batman and Bruce Wayne were won.
Bats probably told the league to make sure no one ever announced Batman was dead.

Couldn't they just make a Wayne-bot? It worked for Superman (for a while).

With MM hanging around it would be fairly easy for the League and Alfred to help cover up Batman's death for a while. I'm not sure how the animated folks view this, but in the comics it seems like Nightwing is Batman's successor, and he seems like the natrual person to take over the "unofficial" spot.
If the producers wanted to get rid of Batman for a while and actually include it as part of an arc, they could always have him fake his own death for some reason. I'm sure he could go live in some secret hideaway and work away until he needed to show himself again. I think the League's strategy takes a big hit without Batman around.
Yeah I agree Bruce has prepared an whole "in the event of my death program" but the League would probably do something like the Scooby Gang did for Buffy in the "Gift" as in cover up that Batman's not dead and still hold a funeral for him. What do you think?
I think the League would have held a private ceremony for Bruce, and I could then see Dick Grayson assuming the Batman role a la the comic arc Prodigal
Okey-dokey!
^Something along the lines of Solomon Grundy's anyway I'd expect if they did hold a fuenral for Batman because he died, and if Hawkgirl showed up, the League would probably go like "I can't believe you had the nerve" like they said to Clark in the Dark Knight Returns.
Batman wouldn't have died directly from her betrayal. In the grand scheme of things, the League still would've wound up in the same positions whether or not Hawkgirl had been a traitor.Originally Posted by Knight
Pretty sure Nightwing would take over for Batman (if they actually did a story where Bruce faked his death, it'd be a pretty good way for them to get Nightwing on without it seeming like obvious fanservice). Also sure Bruce has a private fund the JL can tap into in the event of his death.

^What about if Batman had died don't you think the League would've in a even deeper hole than they were?
