Most Vital DCAU Eps
In order please I wanna know which ones are essential & what happend in them
1. BTAS
2. TNBA
3.STAS
4.SS
5.JL
STARCROSSED
6.JLU
7.BB
8.Zeta
most major first appearances aswell.
-
World's Finest has a very comprehensive episode guide, and character guide where you can look up major characters' first appearances. There are so many "vital" shows and first appearances, it would probably take a couple hours to type up.
-
The obvious candidates are...
1. BTAS - Heart of Ice
2. TNBA - Over The Edge
3.STAS - Legacy
4.SS - Don't bother
5.JL STARCROSSED - Try A Better World instead, unless you really like Hawkgirl.
6.JLU - Let's not get ahead of ourselves
7.BB - Disappearing Inque, maybe?
8.Zeta - Don't bother
Like Temple Fugate said, there are too many episodes to mention and summarize, particularly for Batman, so just dive in.

What happen in those eps ?
For static shock I would say The First his BB cross over & when gear became a hero.
Zeta I have no clue.

As Temple Fugate suggested, go here.World's Finest
All the information you need on those episodes is on that site.

It all depends what you mean by "essential." If by that you're asking what the best episodes are, obviously the answer's going to depend on who you ask. And if you're asking which are essential continuity-wise to understand what happens after them, in general the answer is "none," because the DCAU is very nicely structured such that, while a decently coherent continuity exists, you can watch any random episode without having seen any others and still appreciate it.
-
Like others have said...it depends on what you're looking for. Continuity-wise, none are terribly essential. If your question iss "I'm sorta new to the DCAU...what are some of the best episodes that I should check out?"...then...well, that was (years ago) a question i asked, so here's a quick attempt at a VERY partial list:
BTAS (an extremely partial list)
Two-Face (parts 1 and 2)
Heart of Ice
Perchance to Dream
Robin's Reckoning (parts 1 and 2)
The Demon's Quest (parts 1 and 2)
Second Chance
TNBA
You Scratch My Back
Never Fear
Growing Pains
Over the Edge
Cult of the Cat
Old Wounds
Legends of the Dark Knight
Mad Love
Judgment Day
STAS (a VERY partial list)
Brave New Metropolis
The Late Mr. Kent
Apokolips Now (parts 1 and 2)
Knight Time
The Demon Reborn
Legacy (parts 1 and 2)
BB
Rebirth (parts 1 and 2)
Meltdown
A Touch of Curare
Disappearing Inque
Ascension
Babel
Out of the Past
The Call (parts 1 and 2)
JL
A Knight of Shadows
The Savage Time
Twilight
Only A Dream
A Better World
Hereafter
Wild Cards
Starcrossed
Dunno about SS or Zeta...
Those are the eps I would check out first, though, again, those are very partial lists... If you want to know what happens in those episodes, like others have said, check out World's Finest.

Unfortunately, SS hasn't been renewed for a new season due to its lack of merchandising. It's a real shame. It's amazing how far Mr. McDuffie has gotten the character though, and maybe the sales of the new DVD (out on September 28th) will help bring the show back. Once can only hope.

Dang I had no idea about that. I need to start keeping better track of my Toon Zone News. Four Seasons of kick butt TV should count for something towards a new comic book or a direct to DvD movie or something else if not a full season five.
Still keeping my fingers crossed for more static in the future in one form or another.
