I'll be picking this set up on Sat at Target, can't wait.

Let's just hope this really is just Volume 1 instead of the only volume.

Just wondering, is this a US only or international DVD release? And if it's US only, any idea as to when it will be coming to other countries?

Well I would be buying it right now as Best Buy just opened up...but I woke up 10 minutes ago to find my freaking car gone and the keys to my parents other car gone. I'm so pissed off because they won't be home 'til 6 or 7 and I'm stranded here with no food left in addition BAH. I should report t stolen ...seriously I'm so starving...and ya don't just take someone's car without asking when they are an adult...a 16 year old whose parents bought them a car...different. Taking your 18 year old's car that they own without asking?? Lame! It's the first time it's happened but of ALL the days....I want my batman!! .and most of all I want my stomach to chill

This is really bizarre. I too am without a car, although it wasn't stolen or anything. I am having it looked at at the mechanic's and it won't be ready until late afternoon. Since I live alone and have only one vehicle, I am without wheels and thus without my BATMAN & SUPERFRIENDS DVDs.

Think there's a hex on us fans?

Picked up right after lunch at Best Buy! And, with various coupons I had saved up, was able to get it for just $5. I figure ya can't beat that! Anyways, I haven't watched any of the episodes yet, but I did watch the Batman: The Legacy Continues featurette. I loved it! It was nice that it wasn't just some 5 minute thing. I really enjoyed all the interviews, especially the ones with Conroy, Timm, Dini, and of course Mark Hamill. I plan on watching the Pilot Promo later on, and hopefully watch the two episodes with Commentary. I'll come back and post more later, but so far I'm very satisfied with these DVDs. And while I wasn't real wild about the cover art at first, I can tell you that it definitely looks better in person than the picture on the computer screen.

Is the image quality better than on the previous discs? Nothing had been done to clean the image before so I'm curious as to whether they made SOME efforts this time...

Just picked up my copy a few minutes ago. The cover of the dvds looks much better than I thought it would from pictures of it. I'll post more when I see some of it but I don't know when I'll come back. When I start watching these episodes I might not stop until I see them all.

I haven't picked up the disc yet, but I believe I have read two reviews that said the image quality was much better. I'll try to find the links for you... now Joker85 for the love of god tell us how you got it for five bucks.

So stumbled into my local Target just after work (around 12:15) and was able to grab the LAST copy! I actually think someone might've been hiding it because it was buried under other DVD's, hehe. But i'm happy now!

Hey does anybody know if the episodes on it go in order from the Orginal Series. I know on Leather Wings was the 1st one to show but I don't know if any of the others go in order!

I can't wait until I earn the extra money to buy this! For those who already own it, are all the mult-parters together? I don't like it when they put several episodes between a "Part I" and a "Part II"... Also, I hope that they're in continuity order -- having a Mad Hatter episode before the episode where the Mad Hatter originated, for example, is not a good thing to me...

Some people are complaining about the extras, but really, the extras are just icing on the cake! As long as I can get B:TAS, TNBA, S:TAS, and JL/JLU on DVD (BB would also be nice, but that's just a bonus to me) in their entirety one day, I won't care if there are no extras on them at all!

Well, on Amazon.com B:TAS Volume 1 on DVD has broken the Top 50. I hope this sells so well, that I get my wish above for all the DCAU series!

Awesome! If the multi-parters had been seperated by several episodes between them, it would have cost 1/2 point on the poll. If the episodes weren't in continuity order, it would have cost 1/2 point. But, since all is good... 5 stars!

Well, I have this Best Buy Reward Zone Card, where every time you buy something there, for every $ you spend, you get so many points. Once you build so many points they give you a certificate worth $5 or $10. I've been saving mine for a while, and I had about $30 worth. At my best buy, BTAS was only $35, so I was able to get it for $5.

If you're collecting the Columbia House set, would you say it's worth it to buy this? For the art, commentary, special features, so the sales look good and more shows come out in Box sets?

    The floor is for standing.
