A Spoiler warning would help
According to the fine folks over at Toon Zone News,
Justice League Unlimited will relaunch the Justice League series when it debuts on Saturday, July 31, at 8:30pm (ET/PT). Cartoon Network today released plot synopses and dates for the first five broadcasts:
* Saturday, July 31: "Initiation" A reluctant Green Arrow is asked to join the new Justice League. He, Supergirl and Captain Atom are dispatched on a mission to stop a rampaging nuclear monster in Asia.
* Saturday, Aug. 7: "For the Man Who Has Everything" Batman and Wonder Woman surprise Superman at the Fortress of Solitude in order to bring the Man of Steel his birthday present. But when they arrive, he has been immobilized by a special "gift" that Mongul has delivered to him.
* Saturday, Aug. 14: "Hawk and Dove" Two siblings, one a pacifist and the other more aggressive, join Wonder Woman in a mission to stop a war between two neighbors. It turns out that the escalation of the conflict is all part of Ares' plan to spread misery.
* Saturday, Aug. 21: "Fearful Symmetry" When Supergirl begins having some very disturbing dreams, she gets help from Green Arrow and The Question to figure out what is happening. It turns out she may not be dreaming after all.
* Saturday, Aug. 28: "Kids' Stuff" Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern are transformed into 8-year-olds in a desperate attempt to save the world from the magic of Mordred.

All I have to say is...all these episodes sound fantastic.
As many of you know, I am the most anal retentive person when it comes to spoilers... but c'mon, "JLU Plot Synopses"... does that really necessitate a spoiler warning to accompany it? Its merely a regurgitation of what was printed on the news page and it should be fairly evident that there would be some minor spoilers within, but its highly doubtful that they encompass the entirety of the plot twists that Timm and co. have in store for us.Originally Posted by ionspark

Plot summerys and the titles of two more episodes. Im looking forward to the "For The Man Who Has Everything "ep I didnt realize they were going to keep it that faithful with Batman and WW going to give a present to Supes. That seems kind of out of character for this version of Batman unlike the Pre-Crisis one that was in the original story. Then again if Diana asked him to go along I cant see him telling her no without a good reason.
I have to say "Kids Stuff" seems a little "Superfriendish" by the plot but I think it might be a fun episode. Atleast the ep seems to be made up with members of the original team so I cant complain.

Awesome. FTMWHE is going to be cool. Every episode has three heroes except for Kid's Stuff. I'm going to get my VCR ready on the 31st.![]()
Even "Kids' Stuff"?!?Originally Posted by GMahler
Sounds like a good patch of episodes. I think I'll like "Fearful Symentry" most. Going inside Supergirl's mind to what was thought to be a dream but wasn't.... sounds like good stuff.
This is gonna feel like the 70's Superfriends again....but with Action and less talking.
Which is a good thing.
Awesome! It is close to JLU time and they have some kickass eps on the way. JLU!!!
these first five episodes will blow you away. just seeing the Question animated is worth it... but the return of Mordred?! it's funny and action packed. 'nuff said.
Eh, where the hell are Martian and Flash anyway?
Aw, come on! An 8-year old Batman? That's priceless! (as in, Batman trapped in an 8-year old's body, not Bruce Wayne at age 8) Should be funny stuff.Originally Posted by Knight
Interesting that they chose 8 years old...isn't that the official age Bruce Wayne was when his parents were murdered?
i really,really wanna see that!an 8 year old brucey!Originally Posted by maxnugget

Who else thinks the 8 year old episode will play out far too much like Teen Titans? Not that it wont be entertaining. I eagerly await that one.
I'll be sure to tune in but does anyone else feel like this is a lighter series than the previous one? The synopsis' sure do make it feel that way. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yes. It looks like its going to be a hilarious episode. Give it a chance.Originally Posted by EddieTheEditor
Martian Manhunter is in the 4th episode, as previously stated by Bruce Timm. I assume that Flash will be in at least "Initiation." I'm sure he'll be in more episodes.Originally Posted by Red Giant
I'm just so excited about this show. I have a feeling that this will top the past season of JL and that's no easy feat.
Yeah. It does feel that way...which is not a good thing but I don't wanna curb my enthusiasm...I've waited soo long for this, we all have.Originally Posted by Hyper Sensei

Oh, I hope Mordred's story involves Etrigan. I'm quite the spoiler avoider myself, but these synopsises haven't left me spoiled, of course, I did glaze over them enough to get an idea, didn't actually read them. Yeah, these sound good to me.

Hardly, light.
I don't think it will be. Plot synopses can be decieving. The thing is, the stories can't be as epic when they're only half an hour. When JL was an hour, it allowed time for huge events to play out, but now the series will feel more like B:TAS, S:TAS and BB. It will probably be just as serious, but perhaps more character-driven. I mean, how light can an episode involving The Question be?Originally Posted by Hyper Sensei
