    RotJ Soundtrack

    Like This Thread!
Ok, I'm probably the last person here to get this, but anywho. This afternoon I was out and about, saw it, and grabbed it. Now all I have to say is....

    IT ROCKS!!!!!!

The only down side is that it looks like we may never get the season 2 soundtrack that was bumped for this.

Hello. I came to talk. I've been thinking lately. About you and me. About what's going to happen to us, in the end. We're going to kill each other, aren't we? Perhaps later. I just wanted to know that I'd made a genuine attempt to talk things over and avert that outcome. Just once... I don't fully understand why ours should be such a fatal relationship, but I don't want your murder on my ... hands...

I would've loved to have gotten another soundtrack. There was some great stuff in season 2 and 3 I'd love to hear on CD.

    Mephisto Odyssey

I haven't purchased the ROTJ sound track, but the movie inspired me to buy the Mephisto Odyssey CD "Deep Red Connection." And it ROCKS. "Crash" isn't their only good song on this CD, tho I love that song and that video. In fact, I think I've watched the video more than the movie!

If music to cartoons had been this cool when I was a kid, I would have been much happier!

Is the sound track music that was scored for the movie or music like Mephisto Odyssey?

It's the score, plus the Mephisto Oddessy song. It is a great soundtrack. A nice blend of the BB soundtrack and the MOTP soundtrack.

One of the things i like most about this CD is that, although there are some awesome hard rock type music, Kristopher Carter treats the rock instruments just like regular instruments taht can be used in an orchestra. Whoa, hope you all could tell what i meant in taht last sentence. And the Flashback stuff is awesome too.

That TRAP FOR TIM track is pretty amazing. I just like how they found the right balance of the orchestra and the techno rock. They did a stellar job on the soundtrack. I wish more of the movie was on it!

    Question about the MOTP soundtrack

That opening song with the chanting voices...I had heard once what they were singing, but I forgot. For the life of me, I can't figure it out. What is it?

They were singing the name sof the creators backwords. I'm pretty sure it was Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, Alan Burnett, and Eric Radomski. I would've like to have een a commentary on that disc.

    Really?

Were they saying the names backwards phoenetically or were they singing them straight then they were played backwards?

I went back to look at the beginning, and it sounds like the last name they sing could be Timm, but who could ever figure it out? This just strikes me as rather interesting. I wonder what the song sounds like played backwards?

    IMO

I luuvv the ROTJ soundtrack. It's a lovely blend of orchestral music supported by growling guitars, thumping drums and clunking bass rock.... I agree that Trap For Tim is one of the best. I love the quirky time signature for that track... wicked, as Bruce would never say.

My only grumble is the flashback score which is a little uninspiring. Hints of the BTAS are there but that kept me that interested.

Final grumble, track 13, 'Crash' is out of sequence and should be earlier on the disk. It jars being between the final two pieces Healing Old Wounds and the End titles.

The ending of the Healing Old Wounds is a real climatic Batman finale (the old high above the rooftops motif) and naturally wants to go to the end titles..... instead it jumps back to the 'Crash' vocal track.

A small grumble, but a grumble nevertheless......

    ack..

fave of the 3? that's a toughie... but I'm gonna have to go with ROTJoker... the tracks on it rock, and the flashback's rule. but MOTP comes up as a VERY VERY VERY close 2nd.

I may have to agree with you. I really like the mix of techno and orchestral. Some of those tracks just really get my head thrashin'.

My favorite, I think, are mainly the Batman VS Jokerz tracks. So fast moving and intense. Beautifully paced.
