WORLD'S FINEST - Fresh Question #34: Our Most Powerful GL!

    Like This Thread!
Greetings gang, it's new Fresh Question time, so let's jump right in, after first removing our shoes and socks and putting them aside neatly so no one trips over them and doing our stretching excercizes so we don't get a cramp and oh forget it. Let's just do it to it!

It's not easy to find anything cooler than the life the "Green Lantern" has had in the past few decades. Cool stuff, alright. But with all the really cool GL's in the field, I was wondering:

Who do you think has been our strongest/most powerful Green Lantern??

Well... arguing power levels is moot, because they all have the same damn ring. What matters is the willpower of the wearer. With that in mind, I'd have to say Katma Tui is probably the toughest of the ones we've seen. She's more of a badass then the others, and somehow managed to survive the opening of "Hearts and Minds", which couldn't have been easy. We haven't seen enough of Kilowag using his ring to know, John Stewart has seemed pretty weaksauce with only a couple of exceptions, Sinestro's always getting beaten, and Abin Sur got killed. Kyle Rayner was just starting out, so it's probably not fair to judge his STAS appearance.

In the comics, I think Hal Jordan is a pretty safe bet. He did succesfully slaughter the Guardians, after all.
"So pray for peace until you're hoarse, and maybe fear will run its course.
May God forgive us our insanity, and we'll keep pressing on."

Depends on which you are asking from. Who's the most powerful Green Lantern from the Comics? Who's the most powerful Green Lantern from the Cartoon? If we go down the path of the cartoon, it can be either Katma Tui, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Galius Zed, Tamor Re, Arkus, or Kilowog. Now, we only saw Kyle Rayner for 30 minutes, and not even all of that was as Green Lantern. It would be unfair to judge him with others who have been there for at least an hour. Tamor Re, Galius Zed, and Arkus never received good characterization, so it is not fair for them either. It really, for me, comes down to Kilowog, John Stewart, or Katma Tui.

    A: Katma Tui
    B: John Stewart
    C: Kilowog

Katma Tui taught John everything he knows, and still made it obvious she knows more than he does in Justice League. John Stewart was shown using the ring more than Kilowog, so Kilowog had a disadvantage.

As for comics, it has to be Hal Jordan. He went insane with power, and destroy all the Guardians, who really are more powerful than they appear to be.
