    New Justice League Figure

    Like This Thread!
By this article below, it seems that the next Justice League figure that has been released, or is going to be, is the Ultra Humanite.

    http://www.entertainmentearth.com/pr...umber=MTB4423N

Personally, I think this is wasted potential. Having the Lex Luthur figure come was great, so was Darkseid (though I hated the armor), and I keep hearing about Solomon Grundy, but when are we going to get some of the other villains? Ultra Humanite is good, but what about Morgaine Le Fay? Vandal Savage? Dr. Destiny? Despero? Those would be some great figures to have in possession, yet all we seem to be getting recently are the Injustice Gang members.

What are everyone's views on this.

By the way, I looked, and did not see another topic about this, but if there was, I apologize, and feel free to close it if there is.

Lex Luthor and Darkseid came out? I never saw them. That, coupled with the crappy designs of the figures, has forced me to swear off this line.

I could have sworn I saw a new Lex Luthur, with the armor from Injustice For All, and I saw Darkseid on line. Over all, he looks good, but the armor on him looks terrible, and out of place.

I'm sorry, I meant that I hadn't seen them on store shelves. I've seen the pictures online.

    Well, here's the deal...

The Luthor figure IS out, and has been out for awhile now...it's pretty much annoyingly hard to find (I've only spotted ONE on the shelves, and that was only after I payed twice as much on E-Bay for it...argh). He comes in a two-pack with a re-decorated crappy Superman figure. The Luthor figure is great, though, because he's the standard business suit Luthor w/ snap-on armor that's actually taken directly from the show...and looks good!

Darkseid, however, is NOT out yet. He was shown at the SDCC and other events, but has not hit the stores yet with the rest of the Mission Vision series. Also, his ridiculous armor is removable, so he looks just fine w/o it.

I'm actually very pleased that they're going for an Ultra-Humanite figure...I'd kinda rather have someone like that than another Superman rogue to be quite honest. What I REALLY want though is a new-design Joker and also a Shade figure. Those will kick some serious a**! Hopefully more villains will be released on a more frequent basis...(though I'm doubting it).

Humanite, being an intellectual rather than just more brawn, is someone I'll be very happy to see in plastic form. Like Brainiac, however, I'm equally fed up with having to wait just to see a pic of the JL Joker sculpt, which I'm sure, will let us down anyhoo. Grundy's also been promised, so for those of you expecting/hoping to see a lot of villains in the line, don't be surprised if only these three appear at the big Toy convention thing but Mattel proudly announces how much more diversified the line has become.

Mattel - wake the heck up! If you don't at least announce a Dr. Destiny figure (which pairs the chill factor of Scarecrow with the brawn of Bane) at the Con I'm going to send you a perscription...for...for something that will make you wake up!

There - I said it. Grrrr

EDIT: I'm willing to bet that by the time Justice League ends, the only villains we'll have are Grundy, Humanite, Darkseid, Lex and Joker. With the new Batman property coming out and Justice League already in it's third season, it's not like this line is going to hang around forever. At this rate, we'll be lucky if Mattel makes those figures available before the axe falls...

All of the armor is removable. Mattel made sure to be clear on that back at SDCC when they showed the figures.

The reason, Karkull, that you haven't seen him on the shelf is because he's not out yet. But that's not to say that once he's out you'll see him.... I saw the Luthor 2-pack around Christmas time, and there's a couple at the TRU around here. He's been out since June, though. It shouldn't have taken me 6 months to find a figure.

Although I've still not seen a multitude of other Mattel figures...

Humanite? I won't turn it down but I'd prefer Grodd, Vandal Savage, or Dr. Destiny.

In the strictest sense, Humanite IS a Superman rogue. He appeared in Superman comics even before Lex Luthor. In the DCAU, he could be anyone's rogue.

And if I see another Joker figure, I'll cry. How many are necessary?

Let's get Cheetah, Copperhead and Grundy. I don't want to see the Shade at all, but only because of my personal attachment to the proper treatment of the character in the pages of Starman which is an entirely separate issue.

At this point, I welcome any Justice League figure that isn't the Flash, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter. Honestly, how many Batmen does Mattel think I need?? I'll TELL you how many I need--ONE!

Not only would I like to see more villains (and Hawkgirl, who I have not been able to find at the store yet), but how about some of the guest HEROES too? Dr. Fate? Metamorpho? Kilowog? Eh? Eh?

well, honestly, this line seems to be getting worse. i have acquired all 7 members of the JL, in their beautiful non-articulated, maquette style, form, and so far, i havent seen any JL figures, beyond the original 7, that are worth buying, imo.

i think the Lex Luthor figure release was horrible. sorry, it didnt look anything like the JL luthor, the armor was cheep looking, and the figure itself doesnt match the maquette style JL figures. so i didnt get it.

as far as the darkseid figure, i also dont like it because its not on model the way the JL was, and hes articulated, which doesnt match my JL. BUT, if i actually see it in a store (heavens forbid), i'll probably pick it up simply because i never got a darkseid figure over the years.

i think the new articulation looks like complete crap. maybe some of these new figures will look better, since maybe theyll be designed from the start to have articualtion, but im still wont get them since i already have the whole league.

the only figures i'll buy is any villians that look like they do on the show (like ultrahumanite and grundy), and aquaman. peace.
