I have dreampt of either a comic series or an animated series that ties up all of the animated Batman continuity. Ok, so a little has been revealed to us via Batman Beyond, but, frankly, the idea of some teen in the future putting on a supersuit and fighting classmates with telekenitic powers is about as campy as you can get. Sure, there have been a few memorable results of the BB endavour ("Return of the Joker", "Meltdown" and "Out of the Past"), but just imagine what cool Batman episodes they could have made instead! N-E-Ways, this comic/tv series/direct to video four hour film would be more mature than say "Crtitters", and perhaps, at times, just as shocking as ROTJ. I would call it Batman: Final Knights (cool title !) and it would basically show the last few months of the Batteam as we know it, but would not conclude with ROTJ. In fact, so much more could happen after it! Although the series wouldn't lead into BB, it could, perhaps leave the door open for those events to happen. In the series, I would want to see Harvey Dent restored to sanity and finally married to Grace, Barbara and Dick hook up (gradually but surely). I wouldn't mind if a deeper look would be taken at her feelings for Bruce, and his possible feelings towards her, but Dick and Babs are meant for one another: point finale! As for costume redesigns, I would like to see Bruce wearing an all black Batsuit (like in Batman returns, only animated) and I would like better animators to work on the show. No more animation like "Cat scratch fever"! I would like the Catwoman story from B:GA #4 to be covered, and for her to find a way back into Batman's good graces. Then, I want to see her all black costume that is shown maybe only in Batman: Animated (It is pretty much the animated equivalent of Batman Returns-loved that movie!) She would try to be a good kitty, and simultaniously, I would like to see Selina seek out security in her life: aka, Bruce Wayne. There is so much romantic potential there! I have to see an episode or comic shown from Nora Freeze's point of view. She has to ditch that Francis D'Anjou guy and have a moment with Freeze, perhaps (I over-use that word!) as he is about to place himself in a cold storage container because his...head can no longer exist in the regular world and he is dying...wouldn't you like to see her take off his dome and kiss him goodbye, right before the police break in to arrest him, only to see her there with the lifeless, frozen skull of the man whom she will always love? I could just be a sucker for sappy Disney endings, but I think that's waaaaay cooler than Freeze losing his human side and just freezing people for fun. As for Bruce and Selina, she would (near the end of the series) find out who he really was and he would propose to her, only for her to realize that it couldn't work and return the ring. I think it would be great if in the final episode/issue, Bruce turns on the tv and hears that Selina Kyle has turned herself in-the ultimate act of devotion to Bruce. Then, in the series' final pan shot of Gotham (similar to the endings of first two Batman films) we would see Catwoman. I think it would be cool if she turned on the Batsignal and watched Batman ascend into the sky, grinning slyly. As for Joker and Tim, I didn't mind the flashback in ROTJ, but I think it would be really neat if they showed the events leading up to it. I came up with a story about how the Joker, in order to inherit a fortune has to marry Harley (who the fortune really belongs to). It would make such a dramatic scene. A wedding, Ivy (the flower girl) notices that Mr. J has gun and plans to bump off Harl the minute they're wed. So she screams out "Harley no!" and Joker shoots her (not really good for tv though!) Then Harl, shocked, puts on a lipstick, and says "I do" anyways. When she kisses Joker, he falls to the ground, poisonned by Ivy's lipstick (the ultimate revenge!) and Harley instantly realizes what she did and nurses him back to health. As payback, he douses her in joker toxin and turns her into the uncaring, cold-hearted Harley we see in ROTJ. I know that this all sounds like one big soap opera, but there would be tuns of action and an ongoing story (like Knightfall...only waaaaaaay better). As much as I want to see more Batman, if I have to watch it as another flashback in the next BB film i'm gonna scream! So what do you think. Should I call up Paul Dini and WB? Oh, and don't anyone dare claim these ideas or names as your own-they're mine!!!
