Not too shabby! So we get to see New York's true heroes work side by side with Marvel's heroes. That's a nice tribute.
Here's an image from the upcoming comic. It's not the cover, but will be part of the interior artwork by John Romita, Jr.

I think this is going to be a great issue, and maybe monumental for the comic industry. It's the first time something like this has been dealt with in a comic book. I'm eager to see how JMS will pull it off.

Will Gulianni put in an appearance? I remember Marvel comics of the past that would have current presidents and government leaders meeting heroes and making appearances in comic books.
JMS said it would just deal with Spider-Man's reaction to the desctruction and the confusion New Yorkers face about the lack of superhero involvement in the prevention of the tragedy. I think this will be an interesting and surreal look at the tragedy.

Well, Gulianni in it or no, I guess it doesn't matter. This will still be a great story. Sounds like it could spill over into other comics? If the New Yorkers are demanding an answer from the superheroes, then I am sure Spidey isn't going to be the only one they ask! This could be quite an interesting multi issue cross over.
I think that they just wanted to do one issue and asked the Spidey team cuz Spidey is the flagship character. I think that one issue is enough, more than that would kind of seem like they were using the disaster for their own profit to me. Besides, I don't think that they could reasonably do many issues on it. A good, emotional tribute needs just one issue.
Congrats to the team that makes it-it's a good tribute. I only wish Spidey was around in real life to help us out...we could use his help.
...I'm gonna buy this. It's worth it. And the artwork looks pretty nice too. And Cyclops...maybe it IS a crossover!
Signature. A noun. It is, in internet terms, a series of words, phrases, and pictures at the end of every post used to make posts more fun to look at and show the user's uniqueness.
....I wish I had a decent one.
So it looks like this story will bump into the current 3 part story line that is going on now. Silent month is supposed to be in December, so what are they going to do? Continue on with the story line in November, do silent month in December and finish it up in January?

It will be a stand alone issue. It will feature a black cover with the WTC in white in the foreground. Marvel is expected to vastly overprint the issue in anticipation for demand.Originally posted by Failure
Whoa, that looks like it's going to be a very interesting issue. Even though it'll probably sell like crazy, I think it was pretty good of Marvel to do this. Thanks for the heads up DG.

I hope they market this to differenet areas that normally don't carry the Spider Man comics. This could be a great chance to get people to pick up the book that haven't for years.
Whoa, I can't wait to see this story. It's great to see that someone isn't going to try and edit out what happened with the WTC.

I hear ya, Jowy. It's good to see this acknowledged and not swept under the carpet. Marvel plans to do a mass release of this issue, and I think it could be the #1 seller for the month if Marvel does it right. Millions of magazines are being sold that deal with this tragedy. I'd like to see thesame happen to this book, too. Plus, this is a great way for teenagers and even kids to understand why this happeend.

I've got to complain about Marvel and their delays with Amazing Spider-Man, this is sort of getting ridiculous.

Well, I dunno about problems they've had with other issues, but considering they've had to throw together the WTC issue as quickly as possible, I think that a delay if excusable. Other issues they can plan very far in advance, this one they've been working on for less than a month.
I can excuse the delay on this one. I think Marvel will be releasing two issues of Amazing Spider-Man in November and then the regular issue in December to catch up. Then again, I also here they just may change the story for issue #38 to reflect the Nuff 'Said theme in December.

I don't think Marvels delays have been so bad. Aside from Daredevil (Kevin Smith was notorious for being late all the time, I don't know what the excuse was after that) there haven't been that many problems. Considering what everybody went thru in September, I say if it makes some books late, it makes some books late. I can live with it.
