JLA verus Avengers: Who are you rooting for?

Well as the Marvel man I am I'm gonna root for Cap and Friends. I always been a fan of the Avengers and I think they have what it takes to take out the League.

Fights I wanna see:

Green Arrow verus Captain America

Superman verus Thor

Wonder Woman verus Warbird

Green Lantern verus Iron Man

Aquaman verus Namor

Martian Manhunter verus Vision

The Flash verus Quicksilver

Black Canary verus Scarlet Witch

Atom verus Wasp

Batman verus Black Panther

I would also like to see both teams to join forces. I cam't wait for this mini-series

I'm really crossing my fingers on this. The last DC v. Marvel one wasn't that great, in my opinion. The Wolverine/Lobo fight was one page, behind a bar counter. The Hulk/Superman one wasn't very long either. I think they tried to fit too many fights into 4 issues.

Superman/Captain America would be great, though. America's Super Soldier v. America's Boyscout. It would be nice to see how much force Cap's sheild really can hold up against.

Are they fighting each other in this upcoming series? I thought they were teaming up - I'm clue-less

Can anyone give me a rundown of what happened in the first Marvel DC crossover - just like who fought who and who won? Thanks!

Aquaman defeated Namor.
Robin beat Jubilee.
Flash beat Quicksilver.
Elektra beat Catwoman.
Silver Surfer beat Green Lantern.
Storm beat Wonder Woman.
Fake Spider-Man beat Superboy.
Wolverine, inexplicably, beat Lobo.
Superman beat the Hulk.
Batman beat Captain America.

I'm rooting for Kurt Busiek and George Perez ALL THE WAY!!! Woo-hoooooo, come on Kurt & George! Move them pencils and inks and word processors and stuff!!!!

Ahem.

There was an interesting article of a Silver Age JLA vs. Avengers matchup, which started from the premise that neither team knew anything about the other. This meant Thor wouldn't automagically know to go swat Superman with his (magical) hammer. JLA beat seven shades of snot out of the Avengers.

I'm rooting for the JLA for two reasons:
I by almost all DC
and
The JLA has Batman. That's enough reason right there.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought Captain America and Batman didn't fight. They were suposed to, but they decided to team up and figure out why the two universes merged. Like, this entire thing took place in a sewer, if I'm not mistaken.

No, there was no team up. Batman won, but it wasn't really all that decisive. He somehow knocked Cap into the water and Cap sorta floated away.

I just hope for a good story, which it should be with that creative team. I will admit that I am more of a Marvel fan. Nothing against DC, I read their comics, but I was just raised on Marvel.

But the DC guys are generally more powerful. I'm sure Busiek will do a good job of balancing it out.

T'Challa isn't dead, he's alive and hiding in Brooklyn. He's in the most recent Black Panther(#53), out of costume talking to the new Black Panther, Kevin Cole.

P.S. Isn't the upcoming Avengers/JLA crossover just that, a crossover? I thought I remembered reading they would be working together, not fighting one another. If I'm wrong, sorry for bringing it up.
