Until further notice, the only book I got this week was X-Men #21. Since the holidays are coming, I need to save money so I will buy one book a month from now on.

Some what a big week for me, specially for the last month or two I have just been getting 2-3 a week. Today I plan on picking up:

Amazing Spiderman #47 - It seems interesting from the previews but I don't know about this arc...

    New X-men #134 - I love the cover!

Peter Parker: Spiderman #50 - This should be good.

Truth #1 - Lets see what all the fuss is about...

Ultimate Spiderman #31 - This got a perfect 10 on thefourthrail.com so I know this is going to be good can't wait.

And of course right when my wallet needs a break Wizard appears and gives it a hit...

I'll be back later after getting them and reading them, Till then...

Well I got my comics and Wizard and here is my thoughts on them:

Amazing Spiderman #47: I can't believe it but I really like this issue, last issue I was thinking this is sorta corny but interesting but now I'm thinking its alright and LOVED how the issue ended. And I was glad to see a quick appearence by a character I loved from the Morlun arc, I hope we see more of him he is a great character.

New X-men #134: LOVED the cover. This issue wasn't much but still good, just basically was a set up for the next issue. Still a good issue...

P.P Spiderman #50: I really really enjoyed this issue, I had been wondering how Aunt May was going to react to things that Spiderman did now that she knew it was Peter and this issue did just that and I'm glad they did. Great issue that old time Spidey fans will really enjoy. I recommend picking this up if you haven't...

Truth #1: Well well its finally here the beginning of the Truth, I must say that I am disappointed with this first issue. Why? you ask because its alittle confusing and the art which hardly ever bothers me with a mini-series is doing just that its bothering me. I just don't see why Marvel didn't put a better artist on, this artist is good just not the right type IMO for this supposely important mini-series. I know this is just a set up for the issues ahead but Origin #1 was amazing in itself, the art and story was just amazing, I wish they had done the same with this issue. Well hopefully the art gets alittle better and story picks up in #2.

Ultimate Spiderman #31: Greatness just greatness, more character and story development with a death in it that I thought seemed out of the blue, I can see why it was done but it still seemed out of the blue and could have been given more attention but otherwise a great issue with yet another last page leaving you wanting more. TO BE CONCLUDED! Ultimate Venom draws near...

Wizard Magazine: I love it when the do the Best of the Year, I haven't look through a lot of it or read much but it looks good and should keep me reading for alittle while. I can't wait for next months issue 2003 previews with that great babe cover

Here's what I'm looking forward to next week:
Batman #609: Finally its almost here! I think its safe to say its going to sell out.
Ultimate X-men #25: Hopefully Kubert is back on the art and the story picks up more. $3.50 is that right?
Wolverine #183: More Mafia Wolverine Now why is this $3.50. Captain she's (My wallet) giving it all she can but she can't take much more of this LOL

    I got:

Amazing Spider-Man #47: As usual, another entertaining and interesting issue from JMS. Back when issue #46 came out, didn't I say it was most likely all tied into the Morlun story-arc?

Batman: Gotham Knights #35: Eh. I haven't been impressed with this story-arc at all so far, and this latest issue didn't change my feelings any. Is it just me, or did absolutely nothing happen in this issue? Felt like a waste of paper to me. I wish they'd end this story already.

Gotham Girls #4: A pretty good issue. I liked the focus on Montoya's past, and the fight scenes were fun. Can't believe this is going to be over with one more issue!

The Incredible Hulk #47: Very interesting! They finally (kinda) explain Pratt's mysterious resurrection, the lack of Hulk appearances as of late, and take an unexpected turn in Banner's powers. I'm really like this book!

Lucifer #32: I love this book! Lucifer and Amenadiel finally have thier show-down, and man is it bloody! Both of them take a beating in this one. Mazikeen finally puts her husband in place - the hard way. And Lucifer shows just how crafty he can be. This is the book of the week for me!

Peter Parker: Spider-Man #50: I was less than impressed with this issue. The super-villian/mobster battle scenes were everything that I always hated about Spider-Man comics - far too close to the whole reason I could never get into the character before JMS came along in Amazing. And the character interaction scenes between Peter and May just felt like a complete rehash of what JMS already did with them in Amazing.

Weapon X #3: Agent Zero finally meets up Sabertooth, and the result ain't pretty! THis is getting interesting!

"With my feet upon the ground, I lose myself between the sounds
And open wide to suck it in, I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out, I'm reaching for the random, or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
    Spiral out. Keep going"

JLA/JSA: Secret Files 1 - I dont know, it was good over-all, but in the end i was still left underwhelmed. The JSA creative team, while still putting out consistantly quality work, is still in coasting mode since "The Return of Hawkman", and it doesnt look like "Vice & Virtue" will break that slump. And also, the JSA needs to trim there roster. Between there 16-man team, the JLA, and the "extended" JLA that was introduced in this book (Zatanna, Firestorm, Faith, etc.) theres gonna be like 30 people in "Vice & Virtue". B.

Gotham Girls 4 - another really fun issue from this mini-series. Montoya got a nice spotlight also. I like it when a comic makes a police officer look somewhat useful next to a superhero. A-.

    Howdy,

    Kind of big week:

    - Gotham Girls #4. More fun from PD Storrie and Jennifer Graves. More comments forthcoming on the Batman board.

    - Truth #1. Kind of a slow start, but I like the characters so far. I'm still insanely curious to see where this is going to go.

    - Y: The Last Man #5. This comic gets better and better with each issue. It also manages to pull more and more surprises out of its hat, upending most of your expectations along the way. If you're looking for something new, I highly recommend this book.

    - Power Company #10. After being vaguely disappointed by the last few issues, this issue got the comic back on track, for me. I'm think that Kurt Busiek is not at his best when he's writing Big Big Boom stuff and is better when he's focusing more tightly on the personal and interpersonal stuff. I may do a bigger review of this issue (or KB in general) later, even though it seems that nobody else here is reading this book.

Also bought the Meridian TPB from Crossgen (disappointing, IMO) and a Doctor Doom Marvel Legends figure which is wicked cool. Not quite as cool as the Iron Man figure (coolest action figure ever), but still very cool. I'm debating whether I'm going to get the Thing figure, which looks much better in real life than it does in pictuers.

It's Cartoon Cartoons! #13, but it does rock. I would love a monthly Space Ghost book.

This week I got Shonen Jump #1. The uncut Yu-Gi-Oh! manga is quite good.

I also got "Peanuts Treasury" I have all of the strips in the book in small book form, but it's nice to have a whole bunch of really good Peanuts in one book.

Girl: (To Charlie Brown.) Well, what are you doing here?

Girls: GO ON HOME! WE DON'T WANT YOU AROUND HERE! WHO ASKED YOU TO COME BY IN THE FIRST PLACE? NOBODY! GO ON HOME!

    Charlie Brown: *Sighs/Grumbles.*

Girl: You know, it's a strange thing about Charle Brown..you allmost never see him laugh.
If you get put in solitary, it ****ing sucks. I was put in there just because they had me in double-lock maximum security, and it's the most tedious ****ing thing. I can't think of anything more boring. There's a Japanimation cartoon I've been trying to watch on Cartoon Network called Witch Hunter Robin, and that's almost as boring.

All I got this week was the new Wizard, which actually had some pretty good stuff in it. I really liked the Ultimate DC story they did. I'd love to read almost all of those... except for Ultimate Teen Titans because, hey, that was just stupid. But man, when I read Wizard's proposal for Ultimate Batman, I was ready to go buy that book. Sadly, DC wouldn't ever do it.

I'll also be getting JLA/JSA Secret Files when my comic shop gets another shipment in (I actually missed it... I'm probably the biggest JSA fan here and I missed the JLA/JSA Secret Files.)

Yeah I'm not a huge DC fan but some of those Ultimate DC stories sound great.
