Spider-Man's Tangled Web #13 Talkback (spoilers)

Howdy all,

So, who picked this up this week?

I thought the ish was hilarious. It's a spin on an idea that Kurt Busiek had in Astro City (only there, it was a bar for heroes, not villains), but succeeds incredibly well because of its balance between the ludicrous and the realistic.

Loved the brief exchange between Stiltman and the Matator over whether Daredevil is...you know (not that there's anything wrong with that =8^). Loved the bits throughout the issue that show the Vulture has asked out nearly every female character in existence, and been punted by all of them (maybe that's why he stole that ring in the Darwyn Cooke issue). Loved the bit where the guys talk about who's the hottest heroines and villainesses in the world are (Jean Grey...definitely Jean Grey). Absolutely loved the bit where Spider-Man is making bald jokes to the Vulture ("You're bald enough to lead the X-Men" -- total comic geek joke =8^).

I honestly thought the mysterious stranger was going to be JJJ by the end. Is it just me, or does he kind of have the same effect on a room that the Joker does in the Batman mythos?

My big fear about anthology titles is that they can swing wildly between really good and really bad. Are all the "Tangled Web" books this level of quality?
