So, what did everyone think of the latest issue of Detective Comics? I thought the writing was great and was suprised at the return of a particular character who I thought was written off a few years back...

Dick Grayson, I read this issue and I thought it was good too. Your reference to that character returning, were you reffering to Vesper Fairchild? Who is she and what is her relation with Bruce?

She was introduced in BATMAN #528 (I think) and was a love interest for Bruce. She was a radio personality who fell in love with Bruce. And Bruce actually fell for her, too. When thwe quake came, they had a few discussions on their future. Then she left (off screen) before NML and was never seen again until this Wednesday. I wasn't overly fond of the character, but with Rucka and Brubaker writing her, this could be a plus.
