Anybody else starting to buy more Marvel?

    Like This Thread!
I used to buy FAR more DC titles than Marvel titles. In fact, I got so fed up with Marvel for a while I swore off ANY of their titles for a while. But this new EIC they got is really making Marvel great reading. I haven't enjoyed the books this much since the days of Jim Shooter, and I doubted I'd ever find a EIC I enjoyed as much as Shooter. (Personal opinons aside, the man really made reading comics fun again). While I wouldn't put Joe Q (I will not even try that last name!) in the same category as Jim, he is making Marvel worth while to read again, at least.

This month, I am picking my October comics for pre order, and I am finding more Marvel on my list than DC. That's the first in years.

I'm reading X-MEN again and it is great! NEW X-MEN is a great book. I'm also skimming through more. I plan to buy a bunch of their TPBs (ie: WOLVERINE: BLOODUNT, DARK PHOENIX SAGA) to get caught up. Their X-Books are good again! They have some great creative talent their now. I can understand why DC is ticked off at them. It seems the friendly rivalry they have is no longer friendly.

I am picking up New X Men with issue 118, as it starts a new story line. Somehow, I think I will regret not picking it up with Morrisons first issue, as I am sure if I really like it, the back issues will be an arm and a leg. I am sure the first story line he did will be a trade paperback, tho.

I have started reading spiderman agian, and I love the new punisher stuff from Garth Ennis
They could put me in a helicopter and fly me up into the air and line the bodies head to toe on the ground in delightful geometric patterns like an endless June Taylor dancers routine...
and it would never be enough. No, I don't keep count. But you do. And I love you for it.--Joker, The Dark Knight Returns

I've been reading the Grath Ennis Punisher and the Loeb/Sale Daredevil mini-series, but that's about it.

I've been reading Ultimate X-Men/Spider-Man since they first started and recently I've been getting into Amazing Spidey, New X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, and Daredevil: Yellow.

That's the way I've been, getting a title here and there and slowly adding them as I go along.

Anybody else reading Fantastic Four? I picked it up with issue 44, tho it is the end of some kind of multi issue story so I didn't know everything that was going on there but it struck me as good nonetheless.

I'm currently just reading NEW X-MEN and UNCANNY X-MEN, and for the time being that's it, but it's the first time in a long time I'm reading Marvel. I may pick up th eoccasional TPB or issue here and there. I may pick up the Spidey books when the movie come sout, but this is about it for Marvel. I gotta make room for all those Batman and animated books, right?

I was actually thinking of changin gmy user name to BruceWayne at one point, and I still consider it now and again. I don't read Nightwing anymore, and I enjoy the Bruce Wayne character more than the DickGrayson character. But, everyone knows me as DG. I doubt I could.
