So, local comic show today. And, wow, I spent money. I got a ton of stuff, mind you. And got some awesome deals.

My best haul was the entire series of Spyboy, including the Manga mini, for $0.50 an issue. I've been wanting to read this for a long time, so it was a huge score for me.

The other big one was that I got the current run of Daredevil, issues 17-50, for about $1.25 an issue. I've been meaning to get into the Bendis run, since I hopped on with #500 and have loved it. I also got the second Spider-Man "Brand New Day" trade for $5, and the first Checkmate trade for $3

The big one was a ton of miniseries that I got entire runs of for just $2 a set. Of which included:

-Iron Man: Armor Wars
-DC Special: The Return of Donna Troy
-The entire Heroes Reborn Captain America series
-Colossus: Bloodlines
-Formerly Known as the Justice League
-Daredevil: Battling Jack Murdoch
-Batman: Secrets
-Onslaught: Reborn
-Kitty Pryde: Shadow and Flame
-Daredevil: Father

Easily the most that I've ever spent or walked away with at one of these shows. Crazy day today.

There was a Washington DC Comicon at George Mason University this past sunday. The first time I've ever gone to one of those. Normally, I just go to local shows and stuff. Honestly, this seemed exactly like one of those, only with a few guest signers and a ton of older books. I'm not one of those that spends $600 on a copy of X-Men #1, and I've never done a signing before, so I have no idea how that works, so I was pretty much viewing it like the local comic shows, but with some people in cool costumes.

I did manage to get some nice deals. Not many single issues (although I did manage to find the first 3 issues of DC's "Chase," which I've been wanting to read), but I did get some awesome deals on some trades.

All of these I got for a whopping $5 each:

-Green Lantern/Green Arrow vol. 2
-Patrick The Wolf Boy Collection #2
-Spider-Man: Nothing Can Stop The Juggernaut
-Spider-Man: Brand New Day vol. 3
-JSA vol 4: Fair Play
-Daredevil: Hell To Pay vols. 1-2

and the best deals

-Ultimate Glactus Trilogy (reg. $30)
-Alias: Ultimate Collection vol. 1 (reg. $35)

So, it wasn't a total wash.
