DISCLAIMER: I am not bitter that I didn't get my Superman Returns sequel. My thoughts and opinions on Man Of Steel are (hopefully) completely objectional and unbiased. That said, Superman Returns is better.

Those "resurrected" comics that are part of the Blackest Night event sound interesting. I might have to pick up a couple.

Dang. Rough month. A lot of "gets", a trade and a bunch I'm on the fence about.

    Getting
-Green Lantern #50: Looking forward to Hal v. Spectre since it was introduced in Blackest Night.
-Blackest Night: The Flash #2: Gotta love a Captain Cold story.
-The Atom & Hawkman #46: I've enjoyed the involvement of both characters in Blackest Night, so I'm game.
-Starman #81: I mean, come on. This one's a given.
    -Batman and Robin #7
    -Batman #695
-Adventure Comics #6: Johns and Manapul leaving means I may as well. Shame, too.
-Superman: World of New Krypton #11
    -Booster Gold #28
-Justice League: Cry for Justice #6
-Justice League of America #41: The wait is over. Yay. Finally something to (hopefully) turn this book around.
-Justice Society of America #35/JSA All-Stars #2: Still on the fence as to which, if any, of these I'll be getting.
-Hitman vol. 2 TPB: Yay! They are continuing to re-release these! Now I can finally read this series.
    -Tiny Titans #24

May Get/Not Getting But Worth Note
-The Question #37: Loved the original Vic Sage question series. Not so much Montoya.
-Catwoman #83: I never read the storyline this is coming off of, but it sounds interesting, so I may get it.
-Power of Shazam #48: Depends on how it looks. I'm a big Cap fan, but his comics are sometimes hit or miss.
-Suicide Squad #67: Squad vs. Secret Six makes this very tempting.
-Supergirl #49: Epic cover. Love it.

GREEN LANTERN #50 - Looking forward to it already. The image on the cover is brilliance and nostalgia put together.
GREEN LANTERN CORPS #44 - Yeah, I'd guess that after willpower, rage would be the most prominent emotion in Guy Gardner
STARMAN #81 - Not sure about this one yet, but it's a cool idea at least.
    ADVENTURE COMICS #6
    BOOSTER GOLD #28

    Getting:

    Jonah Hex #51
Astro City: The Dark Age Book 4 #1:
It'll be interesting to see what Busiek does when this storyline is finally wrapped up.
    Scalped #35

I'm pretty happy with my same batch of titles each month. Apparently there's no "Ex Machina" this month though.

On the "maybe I'll get it, maybe I won't" list:

Joe the Barbarian #1: "Boy escapes real world to become hero in fantasy world" has been done before, but I love the concept...but then again, it's Grant Morrison writing...

    My comments:

    - Of the Blackest Night tie-ins, the only one I'm vaguely interested in would be Suicide Squad, mostly because it's John Ostrander and Gail Simone. Just don't know that I'll be able to follow what's going on since I've been mostly ignoring Blackest Night (and, well, DC mainline continuity in general).

    - Har.

    - I'm not normally fond of Joshua Middleton's covers, but the one he did for this solicits' Supergirl is excellent.

    - Hey, wait a sec...Giffen & DeMatteis have been doing Doom Patrol? With Kevin Maguire on some of the art chores? Where have I been?

    - I generally like Amanda Connor's take on Power Girl, but the pose on this cover feels wrong. Connor's normally better than that.

    - I might grab that DC Universe: Origins TPB, since it'll save me the hassle of downloading all the pages off DC's website.

    - Debating whether I want to keep reading Astro City in singles. Everything else has gone to trades.

    - Definitely ordering that Fables Vol. 13 TPB.

    - I should probably hit the library and re-read The Losers TPB they have to decide whether to order the big TPB. On the one hand, I like Andy Diggle and Jock, but on the other hand, the series relied on a bunch of things I'm rather tired of (like the conspiracy theory angle behind it all).

    - Also definitely ordering the Madame Xanadu Vol. 2 TPB. Liked the first one a whole lot more than I thought, and it dawns on me that I never wrote that review I told myself I would.

Okay...so DC is ressurecting cancelled titles for one month? Cool! Catwoman is a worthy candidate. Too bad neither Darwin nor Cameron Stewart appear to be involved...but the Black Mask story tie-in is a wise way to go. I still remember what he did to her sister *shudders*

Wish they'd have brought back Batman Adventures though!

Wonder Woman continues to irk me. Why? I didn't see much interesting stuff happening with the classic characters earlier in Gail's run (beyond Etta getting a promotion) and now there's more new villains? Hmmm...at least this issue's foes might provide a break from the main storyline...which I haven't gotten into.

Two words: One Dollar. I don't buy non-superhero books in singles anymore, but I've been getting every one of these $1 Vertigo books. It's Morisson, Sean Murphy, and $1. You absolutely cannot pass that up. Really, anybody that complains about comic prices should pick this book up.

    *sees the cover for TeenTitans*

Dearest TeenTitans/Titans writers, a little bit of angst here and there in your comics is OK, but angst is not a replacement for plot. People generally read superhero comics to see superheros saving things and defeating the bad guys, not to see their lives get worse and worse and worse and... well you get the idea.

As for what I'll be buying, the Green Lantern 50 and GLCorps 44 (continuing to follow Blackest Night), and Gotham City Sirens 8.

    Read my original Comic, "DrawBlood".
