black lantern uniform question

I'm in the midst of pulling together a crossover costume... Ok, the BL Corps seem to have a sleek black-and-silver look so far but this guy who I'm planning to cosplay as... (Part of me wants to keep it secret til the next con and the other part of me is just too embarrassed by my own dorkiness) So I've got wings to make- they will be reflective silver but I'm wondering if I can go a little off-model and go a bit in the direction of a Death Note-style shinigami gnarled set or Archangel's metallic wings.

Gnarled wings would work. Would give off the decayed and zombie like feel of the Black Lanterns.
