    Right now the only thing I can manage to get on a semi-regular basis is Buffy. I just live too far from the nearest comic book store. But I love Buffy.
    And stay out of Riverdale!

    I've dropped all Marvel titles at this point, so I'm down to a handful of titles that haven't been canceled yet or that Geoff Johns is still writing:

    Absolute Must-Reads
    * Action Comics
    * Green Lantern
    * Green Lantern Corps
    * Justice Society of America
    * Superman/Batman

    Honorable Mentions
    * Booster Gold
    * Detective Comics
    * Justice League of America

And a WAR, ohhh there will be a WAR, so SECRET that YEARS will pass before it concludes! A DARK age is coming, my friend, that shall cast you into a NO MAN'S LAND of despair! I mean REALLY dark, talking, like, an OBSIDIAN age here. Honest."

    Well, I'm not sure about "not being able to live without", but the comics I most look forwards to reading and can't wait to read once they've come out are:
    • Amazing Spider-Man
    • Amazing Spider-Girl
    • Angel: After the Fall (Season 6)
    • Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Season 8)
    • Deadpool
    • Green Lantern
    • KICK-ASS
    • New Avengers
    • Thunderbolts
    • Ultimate Spider-Man

    DC
    Booster Gold
    Detective Comics
    Justice Society of America

    Marvel
    Deadpool

    That's pretty much it. I've always been a light comic reader. In fact, this list (also including the Final Crisis books) is probably the heaviest regular monthly load I've had in my life. I read other books on occasion, when the story looks good or if it ties into a book I read regularly, but these are the titles I always look forward to.

    The Amazing Spider-Girl
    The Amazing Spider-Man Family
    Marvel Adventures The Avengers
    Marvel Adventures Super Heroes

    I get The Amazing Spider-Girl as the series was well balanced between light and dark toned stories and the stories more appealing than the Spider-Man comics from Gathering Of Five and above.

    TASM Family because of the varied stories and the Mr. & Mrs. Spider-Man segments. And since it will be the new home of Spider-Girl, I'll be remaining a buyer.

    Marvel Adventures simply because the stories are fun, and because the particular title rotates between characters.

    Batman The Brave And The Bold
    Booster Gold
    Detective Comics
    Justice Society Of America

    I'm gettting Batman The Brave And The Bold for the same reasons as the aforementioned Marvel Adventures comics. Different heroes getting spotlighted and fun stories.

    I get Detective Comics because of Paul Dini being the writer since he did good work on the earlier series from the DCAU.

    Booster Gold and JSA I'm getting because like with Spider-Girl they mix lighthearted and dark tones well.

    I also get the series Love & Capes as it mixes fun lighthearted super hero tone and romance. And lucky me, #10 will be given away on Free Comic Book Day.
    Deadpool on the "genius" of Hollywood: Everything's turned into a movie these days. -- Old TV shows, board games, candy bars. And let me tell ya, I'm totally stoked for Butterfinger The Movie.

    I'll consider those if I drop another title, but I do get the Supergirl one. I left that off since it is a miniseries.

    I dunno if he's been in the new Justice Society series but #JSA 82-87 (the last six issues of the previous series, from a couple of years ago during Infinite Crisis and the initial One Year Later issues) featured the Gentleman Ghost, and those were very good.

    No, he hasn't shown up in the main JSA title since "Ghost Stories"; he was part of the Injustice Society line-up that was in JSA Classified about the same time, though.

    The Gentleman Ghost dates back to the 40s comics as a villain of the original (Golden Age) Hawkman. Was revived in the 60s as a foe of the Silver Age Hawkman, as well (guessing pre-Crisis either there was an Earth-1 version of the Ghost, or he simply moved to Earth-1...). Either way, yes, the Ghost dates back quite well before the current JSA books as a foe...

    But back to the topic:

    Given money issues (and a lack of interest in too many current comics/not finding the books I actually want carried by my comic shop), I haven't been buying anything besides Showcase Presents paperbacks lately.

    I do however still read comic strips (they're free and always amusing/mega-crossover-free!), including strips ranging from "Dykes to Watch Out For" and "This Modern World" to "Baldo", "Monty", and "Get Fuzzy".
