The awkwardness after the war is over was portrayed nicely in the first sequence of this issue. With that I'm mainly referring to the Mockingbird situation and the Spider-Woman situation.

Speaking of Spider-Woman, I wonder if she'll finally be getting her own solo book that Bendis has wanted to write for so long, or if there are no longer any plans for that now that she's just a "regular" character. If I recall correctly, Bendis was planning to use the last issue of her book to reveal that she was a Skrull. And what's up with her powers now? Wasn't she abducted before she managed to get her powers back?

The focus on Luke Cage's and Jessica's sadness and despair over SkrullJarvis abducting their baby was good, though the sympathy from the other heroes felt a bit too much at times. But the scene with Cage and Jessica catching that lady Skrull and getting her to confess - only to have her blown away by one of the angry S.H.I.E.L.D. agents was dynamite.

As for the cliffhanger: no way did I see that coming! It should prove for an interesting storyline though!

"How's Not Being Dead?" is the most awesome line in comics, ever. It should be the catch line of every superhero return.

I like the idea of Cap's pad being the new Headquarters. It's pretty spacious and tech-advanced from what the Captain America title showed, and not many know it's there, so it's still secretive. Kind of seems to fit.

Also guess that ending was kind of the unofficial start of the Dark Avengers.

THE STORY: Luke Cage must find his child and he will do anything he has to to bring her home safely... including teaming up with the one person he has sworn vengeance against. Building to the bombastic 50th anniversary issue.

I liked how they swerved it so Luke Cage didn't sell out. Him taking it to the not-quite-yet Dark Avengers was a cool image, as well.

Can't wait to see #50, and for the Ronin/Hawkeye fight. That's what you get for changing identities, man. No one to blame but yourself.

Me thinks the baby is a skrull sleeper agent. If you all remember when we found out that Electra was a skrull in issue 31, the last page of that issue showed the baby with suspicious look, like skrull eyes. Here is the pic:

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

If life gives you lemons, throw them at some one!

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you ever tried.

Never Argue with an idiot, they bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
