So... what does Deadpool sound like?

He's always seen with yellow word balloons. Has there ever been a reason for this explained? Once or twice, they state his voice is gravelly, but... how does gravelly equal yellow?

"Do I still think in those little yellow boxes?"
"Oooh, I missed you, little yellow boxes! What FUN we shall have together"

I think it's been explained they're there to show how 'different' he is from everyone around him.

I'm sure it's also to be left up to your imagination. I remember a time when Human Torch's word bubbles were on fire, Iceman's were blue and had icicles, and Thor's speech was in fancy font. It may not exactly translate well, but it lets the reader imagine what the character is like. Not really sure I have an explanation for Deadpool.

My friend actually doesn't want to see Deadpool in live action because she gets the feeling that actually hearing the voice will come off as a disappointment.

Personally, I want to know what The Spectre sounds like.

For some reason, I picture the Spectre having a very deep, echoey voice.
Deadpool, I picture sounding like a military drill seargent with phlegm stuck in his throat... or possibly worse.

His voice in X-men: Legends II is pretty funny.
The world's 225 richest people now have a combined wealth of $1 trillion. That's equal to the combined annual income of the world's 2.5 billion poorest people.

    Something to think about.

I saw a little from 'Marvel Ultimate Alliance' and he sounds there heavily like 'Carlos Olivera' from 'Resident Evil 3: Nemesis'

He sounds more like Michelangelo in the games. It still gets the job done, but the drill sergent voice would carry the script so much farther...

I've always seen his voice like his portrayal in X-Men Legends II or Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - a high-pitched, Plastic Man-like character.
