    Batman Artists Dream Team

    Like This Thread!
    For you Batman comic collectors out there, who is/are your favorite Batman artists? And if you could pick a Batman creative dream team, who would you like to pencil, ink, and write your Batman comic?

    Personally, I'm a big fan of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. Long Halloween and Dark Victory... I give two thumbs up, no doubt about it. I love the artwork and their stories are awesome. I also enjoy Frank Miller's dark take on Batman, he just makes it seem so grim and errie. Greg Rucka is also a favorite of mine. I read the Batman NML's novel and loved it.

    Who are your favorites?

    I don't read much Batman outside of the animated comics, so my choice would automatically have to go to Ty Templeton! I also liked Scott McCleod (sp? He was the creator of Zot). I know he didn't work on the Batman title, but he added his touch to the Superman Adventures title and I always wished DC would bring him back for more.
    I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

    My dream team would either be, Paul Dini and Bruce Timm and Ricl Burchett (for stories, art and colors) or Ty, Ty and Ty (does he do colors too? Probably, he's the guy!) One of those two for sure!!!!! Though I would still like to see Mike Manely and Cameron Stewart tackle the animated Bats!

    Jim Aparo!

    He DEFINED the post-silver age Batman with his crisp art style that is seen too infrequently these days.

    From what I understand, I heard no particular person does colors anymore. I think colors are computer added done by Wildstorm. But I do know that occasionally, they have colorists other than Wildstorm appear once in a while.

    Writers: Jeph Loeb, Paul Dini, and Greg Rucka should rotate every few arcs.
    Artists: Tim Sale, Ed McGuinness, Jim Lee, Tony Harris, Stephen Sadowski, and Bruce Timm will rotate every arc.

    Wow. It's so depressing to stop and realize that this will never happen.

    Either Denny O'Neil, writer; Neal Adams, pencils; Dick Giordano, inks;

    or

    Steve Englehart, writer; Marshall Rogers, pencils; Terry Austin, inks.

    Since its a "dream team", add Jim Aparo, Denny O'Neil and Neal Addams in their primes to what Barry Allen so excellently stated and you have got my Batman Universe Dream Team !!!

    And Yes, Very depressing that it cannot be this way!
