Is there a.....Malcolm in the Middle manga?
It's a collection of episode stills with word balloons, same thing with other 'Ani-Manga' titles. But it'd be nice to have something like 'Henpecked White-Collar Warrior Hal Legend' come to reality.

Surely, this must be the largest crossover in existence. Ever heard of it?
It looks like Howard the Duck is thinking "Why am I here? Oh man, shouldn't have taken that; I'm tripping out."
Joris: Your story makes me want to have a little brother, Papycha. Isn't that weird?
Kerubim: Don't worry, Jojo. You have your whole life to meet new brothers. Some you will choose, others will ruin your life, and others still will make it worth living...

I find it more odd that Hawkman was included, he's generally considered a second/third-tier hero at best, as opposed to someone like Hulk or Robin.

Yep, it's what's usually called fumetti. I remember these from when I was kid, the brand I saw were called Fotonovels. My friends had the Ice Castles Fotonovel. They were from before most people had VCRs, so that was one of the only ways you could re-experience a movie. It looked like this.

Why anyone would want it now that we can access on-demand video everywhere, I have no idea.

That was before he was ruined by 30 years of continuity resets and grimming up.

In the original, her word balloon said "You were expecting a leprechaun?" Here, they seem to have changed it to something....Christmas-related? I don't get it either.

Believe it's French for "Merry Christmas, Archie" that Ronnie's saying. That said, makes it look even weirder redone for Christmas... :-p

I guess in France they celebrate Christmas with pots of gold and women in cheesecake poses.

They never owned it, but they licensed the characters for a very brief while when Casper was hot because of the movie.

They also tried to license some of the characters in the 80s when Harvey was having troubles and wasn't publishing, but ended up just hiring legendary Harvey artist Warren Kremer to work on all new characters for the Star Comics line. I'm not going to say all "original" characters because what they created when their plan to license Richie Rich fell through included Royal Roy.

Harvey sued, and this only lasted six issues.

I've got a super weird one for you today, kids.

So check out the space cowboy on this cover. Notice anything funny about him? Yep, he was obviously a space cowgirl until a hasty last-minute art edit. They didn't even erase his boobs.

This is what "Spurs Jackson" looks like next issue, when his gender-normative identity reasserted itself.

They'd never do something like this here.
It is being released here, though, on the Disney Comics App on iOS. I guess that's concrete proof that publishers will take a chance on something digital that they'd never put in print. Also, when I was checking this, I actually saw a Fethry Duck book. Not going to see that at your local supermarket anytime soon.

Here's a Wiki page explaining X-Mickey. Sounds like an Archie's Weird Mysteries type deal.

This one's too good not to post. I've had this sitting in an open browser window all day waiting for the server to come back up.

If the Red Baron can do that, Snoopy is screwed.

I know he tends to play the field, but I can't think of any reason Archie would procreate with Valerie of all ancillary people. Come on, Dan Parent, you're losing your mind.

If he's gonna keep doing this, I want to see what an Archie/Sassy Thrasher baby would look like.

There was a whole storyline to build this on, though, their mutual interest in music brought them together and they had an in continuity fling based around writing a song together (or something like that). The Archie Marries Valerie series is another What-If kind of deal where Valerie finds memory lane to see what would happen if they got together for real.

Next up, Archie Marries Cheryl? Then Archie Marries Sabrina. Then Archie Marries Lil' Jinx, in the south. Then Archie Marries Jughead (Mad Magazine already did a version). Then a story about all the sisterwives together.

Jokes aside, Archie having an interacial marriage might not seem like a big deal, but it is a big deal that it's being published by Archie Comics. As recently as 2008 they recolored a black character that was going on a date with Cheryl, making him whiter.

I wonder who Vanessa is. I'm taking a guess that the German subtitle says "Friend of Ghosts," which fits in with all the covers.

Google translate renders it as the "Girlfriend of the Spirits" on one German page I checked, which is hilarious.

    http://translate.google.com/translat...ed=0CGQQ7gEwBg

Other places call it the more mundane "Friend of Spirits" though. Cool covers, looks like a supernatural Nancy Drew.
