There are plenty of Crossgen comics in the comic store. It's mostly fantasy stuff, though.
George Perez's stuff is yummy eye candy.
Anyone? All I know about them is the glowing reports that Wizard keeps printing about them (and they print a lot about them). I don't really see any titles from them, but somehow they keep signing talent for lifetime (?) contracts.

I've looked over several of the titles, and they're just not for me. Crossgen has hired away all of my favorite creators, but I don't like the fantasy genre. The only book I've decided to collect so far is Ruse. The Crossgen universe is a nice concept, but I'll stick to superheroes.
Right now I'm reading Ruse and Sojourn, and I really like them both. The two artists are doing superb work (which is a huge compliment, because they were already great artists to begin with).
The whole sigil thing still has me confused, but I'm trying to learn about it from my roommate, who reads all the CG titles and has from the beginning.
I'm looking forward to The Path and The Way of the Rat immensly. I'm a sucker for samurai stuff.
2000AD is pretty much all now. Occasionally the graphic novel. I feel something is missing in my life since Preacher finished though...

"I turned to Aunt Agatha, whose demeanour was now rather like that of one who, picking daisies on the railway, has just caught the down express in the small of the back."
Sojourn and Scion are the 2 CG books I get.
Sojourn is just an incredibly lovely book to look at. And Arwen is an awesome heroine. Mordath is quite the evil doer (heh) and is evil just because he is (evil for the sake of being evil, the counter to "good" and all that). It's only on issue #7 right now, so it's not too hard to find.
Scion is on #20 and trade #2 is due to come out fairly soon (by end of next month I think). The art is good, an the story is picking up quite nicely. And I like the mix of swords and technology so that's the main reason I enjoy it.
If I were to recommend one CG book to you (even to just look at) it would be Sojourn.

I see quite a few, but living right next to Tampa Fl. does probably affect that seeing as how they are based here. I've picked up a couple but Sojourn is the one book that has made me drop my $3 each month. The art is incredible and I'm still shocked that they can make a beautiful character with her not busting out of some skimpy costume. What an idea.... Plus I've always been a sucker for archer stories.
The Sigil for the people whod on't know is the thing that connect's the entire Crossgen universe. They're palnning to do a giant cross over of all their titles someday.(this is according to the Wizard Extra about all thing's Cross Gen from awhile back.) Each book has a Sigil barer. This is how all the book's are linked together.

I will try my best to explain the Crossgen Universe(CGU) and the company(CG).
CROSSGEN:
Well, Crossgen is a company trying to make comics that aren’t base on superheroes, why, there are too many superheroes book on the market…that’s why!! This company tries to give you a different kind of story with high quality. They just want to sell comics and try to add new readers to the industry, but they don’t want to empty your pocket – I mean: no massive crossover and no issue # 40 with 40 variant covers!!
CROSSOVER:
The crossover thing has caused some discussion on the CG board. Actually, there are crossover on CG comics, but only character crossover. The character crossover (that is very frequent on CG) is necessary because they want you to feel that all the stories at CG are place on the same universe(CGU). Those massive crossovers where a story begins in one issue and end on another (and those from Marvel and DC that a story could take almost the entire line, about 30 books the entire summer long) are inexistence on Crossgen.
THE COMICS:
Each story is base on a different planet of the CGU…well this will change in the future.
ONLY FANTASY:
Almost everyone think that CG published only fantasy comics. That’s wrong…waaaaay wrong. Beginning on April, there will be two compendia that will reprint 8 issues for only $9.99 call Edge and Forge. For more information go to http://www.crossgen.com/compendia/default.asp Is true that they aren’t base on a current earth setting, but that doesn’t mean that they are fantasy. Check this out (comics in no particular order):
1-Sojourn: It is a la “Lord of the Ring”, is the most pure fantasy of all. (my favorite one)
2-Mystic: a magic book. All the planet work with magic- elevator, the cars, etc.
3-Scion: The Medieval comic. Use some element of fantasy, knight, wars. This is the one with the best story among CG.
4-Sigil: Scifi. Space war between human an a lizard kind of race.
5-Meridian: Fantasy book.
6-Crux: the genre of this book is difficult to describe, but is the more close to a superheroe book (without been one). Is the only one base on Earth, a future Earth to be exact.
7-Negation- Sci-fi. Setting: another dimesion or universe. Description: Dirty Dozen of space.
8-Ruse- Detective or mystery…to be honest with you guys, I don’t like this one. But don’t trust, me this one and Sojourn are the most popular of CG. And it is written by Mark Waid.
9- The Path: Samurai comic. Begins this month (Feb 27, I think). I am looking for this one J.
THE STORY AND THE SIGIL MARK
The first 4 books (Mystic, Scion, Sigil, and Meridian) begins with two creatures talking about the CGU losing power and dying. So they determine to give a power to some humans. This power left a mark: The Sigil. All the sigil bear are only human (not yet revealed why). With this new powers the human create war and conflict that generate energy and this energy give live again the CGU.
Well that is all. For more information buy the comics. Try the compendia, because they are just only 9.99 and will give you a good over view of almost the whole CGU(FORGE #1 on sale April 10 contains: Crux #1-#3, Meridian #15, Negation Prequel, Sojourn Prequel and #1, The Path preview art)( EDGE #1 on sale April 24 contains: The First #8-#10, Mystic #15 and #16, Ruse #1, Scion #15, Sigil #15). This is not and AD, I am only a satisfied costumer. I also buy comics from Top Cow and Dreamwave-transformer is looking good. (With the all due respect buy, Sorry but no superheroes)
