    What comics does everyone read?

    Like This Thread!
    From Marvel:

    Ultimate Spider-Man
    Ultimate Marvelk Team-Up

    From DC:

    All Batman titles (except Azrael)
    All Superman titles
    All animation-based titles
    The Flash
    Green Arrow
    Green Lantern
    Impulse
    The Legion
    JLA
    JSA
    Orion
    The Spectre
    Suicide Squad
    Titans
    Tom Strong
    Young Justice

As you can see, I'm a big DC fan. At one point I bought pretty much everything they put out, then I had to cut down to save money. But now I'm buying a whole lot of their stuff again, and even some Marvel (which I was never really into). What does everyone else buy?

I read all the Batman titles, Justice League, Flash, Green Arrow, Tom Strong, Promethea, Astro City, Electropolis, Daredevil, Alias, Rising Stars, and one of my new favorites, Powers. I'm also trying out my first Crossgen title, Ruse.

Separately, I buy TPB forms of Ultimate Spider-Man and the Authority whenever they come out.

I used to read Archie comics a LOT when I was younger, but I haven't bought any in years. I spend almost all my money on DVDs since I got my player in June, so comics are not high on my to-buy list. But when I do read comics, it's mostly manga (Japanese comics).

There are a few core books I am getting monthly

Amazing Spider Man, Peter Parker, Daredevil, Fantastic Four, New X Men, X Force, Doom Patrol, Powerpuff Girls, the ABC line Alan Moore is doing, JL Adventures, JLA, Simpsons, Cerebus, and I know there are a few more. I've kind of have fallen away from some of the DC titles, but I tell ya, the JL series is really making me reconsider some of those titles. I am paying more attention to some of their titles and trying to figure out a good jumping in place on some of those. Any suggestions you avid DC fans may have, le me know!

I am really curious to see how this new way DC is doing the Superman comics will work out. If they are going to start making Superman and Action Comics more stand alone titles, I think I will finally pick them up.

I also get a few magazines regularly: Dr Who, Comics Journal, Starlog, Wizard, and Wrapped in Plastic.
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

Do you mean comics that I just read or comics that I buy and read?

Well, I've cut back on most of the comics I buy and read, but I still get New X-Men, Savage Dragon, Green Arrow, Milk and Cheese, and Dork. I skim everything else and put it back on the shelf.

However, I'm buying a lot of trade paperbacks these days (it's cheaper). Recent purchases have included The Authority, The Planetary, and one of these days I'm going to get both Ultimate Spider-Man trades. The Batman: Dark Victory hardcover was really cool too.

I don't currently BUY any books..(cause I'm pretty much broke) but I do read a number of books at Hastings...
I have to say that in my opinion the best book out there right now, is JMS's Amazing Spiderman, and if I ever get the money, that'll be the 1st one I'll order..

When I was younger I used to read alot of Spiderman and Darkhawk comics. I would read Hulk and Silver Surfer on once in awhile too. I also have some of the Marvel Masterworks series of Spiderman and Fantastic Four. Now, all I'm trying to collect as many JL adventures as possible. I also have alot Batman Beyond Issues. I wish I had collected The Superman and Batman animated comics but its probably too late now since their ending. I was thinking about Green Lantern until I saw Kyle change his costume and name.

    Ultimate X-Men
X-Men Evolution(Although I don't think anything past issue 1 will be necessary, if you watch the show )
    Ultimate Spider-Man
Just about every other Spider-Man comic
Misc. Batman comics(I usually don't pick up volumes, just the occasional issue)
    MAYBE SuperMan...
    Scud the Disposeable assasin
    Johnny The Homicidal Maniac
    SQUEE!
Jhonen Vasquez Comics(refer to the above two)
    Does Manga count?
    Tenchi
    Ranma
    Inu-Yasha!!!

I also get the occasional "random comic"...basically I look for whatever has a really cool looking cover, & (if its of reasonable price), just buy it.

Batman, Detective Comics, Gotham Knights, Robin, The Punisher.

And of course anything by Alex Ross.

Used to be a bigger list but I trimmed most of it. Here's what it used to be:

    Action Comics
    Azrael
    Batgirl
    Batman: Gotham Adventures
    Batman
    Birds of Prey
    Catwoman
    Detective Comics
    Batman: Gotham Knights
    Legends of the DCU
    LOTDK
    Nightwing
    Robin
    Green Arrow
    Green Lantern
    JLA
    The Spectre
    Young Justice

    Peter Parker: Spider-Man
    Powers
    The Punisher
    Simpsons Comics
    Ultimate Marvel Team-up
    Ultimate Spider-Man
    Ultimate X-Men

I find that I'm happier if I just get the titles that I really enjoy and spend less than twenty bucks a month...

    Just remember: you did ask.
To say this list is eclectic is generous. Just bear with me.

DC: Birds of Prey, Harley Quinn, JSA (rocks!), Batgirl (has rocks ), Green Arrow, DK2 (natch)

    Marvel: USM, UXM, Origin

    Image: Powers

Others: Bone, its offshoot: Rose, Strangers in Paradise

That's off the top of my (pointy little) head. So, I reserve the right to edit this list at any time. So nyah, there.
