Castlevania: The Belmont Legacy is anyone reading this great series?
I've recently gotten into the new, Castlevania: The Belmont Legacy, series by IDW. The second issue was just released a few weeks back and like the majority of the games the comic is really good. I highly recommend checking it out especially if your a fan of the Castlevania games.

I passed this title on the stands the other day. The name caught my attention, but I didn't pick it up and look through it.
What's the artwork like? Is it manga style? Or like a Vertigo Horror book? Or something else?
What's the writing like? A fast paced action story, or a creepy horror atmosphere?

I'd say the art style is very similar to that of the older Castlevania games and not like the newer more anime looking art seen in the more recent games in the series.
As of now the writing is more slow paced with a little hint of action since they are just introducing the main characters and bringing Dracula back once again. It looks like the third book will be quite action packed though now that Christopher has set off on his way to Drac's castle.

I read the first issue, and thought it was kind of bland. The art in the second issue looked too cartoony for a horror comic, so I passed on it.
"With my feet upon the ground, I lose myself between the sounds
And open wide to suck it in, I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out, I'm reaching for the random, or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
Spiral out. Keep going"
