Pretty much did in Officer Down what he did during the Knight-trilogy: He quit.

In the comics he's currently helping out Tim Drake at Brentwood, though notes that he may be returning to the employ of Batman soon. In the animated comics...Peterson just doesn't use him.

Peterson doesn't really use any of the characters to their full potential. The only things of his I've enjoyed was the interesting (though somewhat out-of-character) developments with Bane in #17(?) and the return of Maxie Zeus, even if it was a little confusing and boarderline corny!

Though, Peterson did right a story about Alfred's many abilities (namely, hypnotism) in a story near the beginning of his run. How that story, which I managed to sum up in less than a sentence, filled 22 pages is something I'll never understand...

I've stoped trying to get the continuity straight on the Batman books...never mind all of DC..

In one, Bruce has a Bodyguard? WTF? And she knows he's Batman?

Then in a few other books, there's some new Spoiler character...

    I dunno...

I miss the good ole days.

brentwood, is that a college or boarding/private school?

A private school. Tim Drake's dad assumed he was sneaking out at night to do all the bad thing normal teens do, so he decided to ship him off the private school. The straw that broke the camel's back was getting "caught" in No Man's Land. Tim said he went back in to save a family, but really went back in to do his Robin thing. Tim's Dake (Jack) doesn't know of his double identity.

How old is tim in the comics anyway?

    I'm assuming 15 or 16.

So alfred quite working at wayne manor to go to brentwood??

He left during the "Officer: Down" arc when Batman was blaming himself for just about everything. he got sick of the attitude Batman had and just left. He opted for Timothy's company than Bruce's.

And as for Batman: Gotham Adventures #16...that story could have been 4 pages. I counted about 12 pages wasted on pointless fight scenes. Re-read it...you'll agree...

Eh, its not that difficult. If you can folow a novel, you should be able to follow these comics.

In one, Bruce has a Bodyguard? WTF? And she knows he's Batman?

Actually, he has a bodyguard, period. Its just that she's only used in one of the books - Detective. And yes, she knows he's Batman - pretty easy to figure it out if you're trying to follow the guy around 24 hors a day and he keeps mysteriously ditching you at night.

I'm kinda torn on the bodyguard issue. Not sure if its really going anywhere, or if this is just another excuse for Rucka to write about body-guards. I believe Rucka was a body-guard for a while, or knew a bodyguard, and he seems to have a real fascination with them. All of hisnovels focus on bodyguards as well.

Then in a few other books, there's some new Spoiler character...

Again, Spoiler exists in the entire Batman universe - its just that some books choose to focus on that character. And if its the same one I'm thinking of, Spoiler has been around for a loooong time.

I'm reaching up and reaching out, I'm reaching for the random, or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
    Spiral out. Keep going"

I certainly wouldn't disagree with you there. I think a lot of people feel that way, actually. A lot of the charaters are just sooo unnecessary *coughAZREALcough*.

Yup. Either the beginning of the Robin book (about 8 years ago) or even before that. So yeah, Spoiler's been lurking for a good long time.

Clayface spoke, and we all listened:

I've actually seen her in all three books, now. Right after she was introduced in 'Tec she was shown in BATMAN, and just last week she was in Gotham Knights. I like her, but I don't like that she's now in a costume.

You're right - I forgot about those appearances of her in Batman and Gotham Knights. And yeah, so far, I'm not liking that she's in a costume. Maybe Rucka can do something with it, but so far it seems unnecessary.
