Well, I'm no expert but with at least some comics, direct editions will have their covers printed on a glossy card stock while newsstand will be just plain paper.
i was going through my old comic collection today and found a few i bought at 7-11 or other newstands and stuff. i know 7-11 doesnt sell comics anymore (or atleast the ones where i live) but i remember my friends from back in the day telling me there was a difference between the comics, mainly because the comic store version has "direct edtion" written on the bar code, and the 7-11 one has a serial # on the bar code.
my question is, is there really a difference?? in terms of collectors items or quality? and whats the point of this?? anyone know? thanks.
