Not to nitpick here, but wasn't there an all black Batman cover a while back - when they introduced one of the "new costume" designs? I seem to remember one that was prestige format, all black, with Batman's shape raised on the cover.
"With my feet upon the ground, I lose myself between the sounds
And open wide to suck it in, I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out, I'm reaching for the random, or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
Spiral out. Keep going"

I'm guessing it's Marvel's first all black cover. BATMAN #515 had an all black cover with only the issue number, price and company logo visible. The rest, including the name of the comic, was black.

It looks amazing. I can't wait to read this. I think it's completely fitting that it is SPIDER-MAN dealing with this, and not someone like THE X-MEN or PUNISHER....although the Punisher could be useful now....
