Three Pages from Amazing Spider-Man #36

    Like This Thread!
WIZARD posted up these images. This is going to be one emotional issue. I personally can not wait to read it. I already have a copy on hold for me.

The issue will be very, very sparse on dialogue - barely any. The writer JMS belives that pictures should tell the story. Not words. Also, pick up Marvel's Heroes. An amazing one shot.

Wow! If those pictures are any indictation of the entire issue, it is going to be quite powerful indeed. Also, I think it shows that the comic world can do something like that and still show respect for the tragic nature of the event. Just those pictures alone were moving for me.

John Romita Jr, is in my opinion, the strongest visual storyteller working in Marvel right now. A lot of people slag on his style (not me!) but nobody tells a story like him. Many artists can draw pretty women, but they can't tell a coherent story if their life depended on it. Romita Jr doesn't need captions to help his storytelling, unlike so many comic book artists.

    Man, that's incredible.

I've always been a fan of Romita Jr - loved his work on the old Punisher comics when I was younger.

Are there any online stores I could buy this from? All the comic stores in my area seemed to have died out.

Mile High Comics is online, so you might be able to order it there. Also realize that it will probably be in comics racks in pharmacies and supermarkets, so if you don't have a comics shop near you, you might be able to get it there. I am definitely going to pick up this one.

Looks pretty powerful. I may pick up some extra copies and give them out to friends and family.

This is going to be a great issue. I have complete faith in JMS and JR Jr. that they can pull it off. omita has ben my favorite Spider-Man artist since he joined the books about 6 or 7 years back. The fact that he's staye don through the low and high time shows just how much he lovesthis character, and how well received he is. I think he draws the prfect Peter.

I don't have an image of it, but it looks like Spider Man isn't the only Marvel comic that is paying homage to the Sept 11th events. There is Moment of Silence.

MOMENT OF SILENCE - (Kevin Smith, Joe Quesada, Bill Jemas & Brian Michael Bendis/Igor Kordey, John Romita Jr., Mark Bagley & Chuck Austen) Four silent stories, with all proceeds going to the victims of 9o11o01. Inspired by the true events, four duos unite to remember the heroic sacrifices of 9o11o01. Cover price $3.50
