Oh come on. "For The Ed, By The Ed" is when Eddy runs against Plank as Leader of the Culdesac. (or however you spell it) which has been a known premise for MONTHS. No offense to you or anything of course.
It seems because of the lack of ad revenue (25 minutes lost a day), CN has now opted for two commercial breaks per show.
For example, Totally Spies breaked at :07 and :17.
Ed Edd n Eddy had a break right after the title sequence (ala FOX), and a break in the normal spot.
This will probably only last during November.
Oh, and no break after the credits, it seems.
No Break AFTER the credits? But one after the show's title? (well for Ed Edd n Eddy anyway) That's fine by me. It's still the same use of two commericals, so I really can't complain. Besides, it's not like CN dosen't have a reason for doing it.
I just came back from an allergist give me a break Z_XOriginally Posted by DianaGohan
Seems they'll credit squish before Clone Wars too.
But the 8 PM Ed didn't have a break after the intro. I guess premieres are a special case.

poor ralf went running! and edd wasn't that good a script writer,
wow, wierd when ed put the door over the fence then he walked through it..
plank .. wow.. what did he do?
now, that was a giant foam hand. ballot stuffing, huh?

"They Call Him Mr. Ed"/"For the Ed, By The Ed" Ed Edd n Eddy Episode Review Makes You Go Up And Down, Round And Round, And Will Teach You The Meaning of Elections: Free Cookies!
"They Call Him Mr. Ed"- Like many shows that use multiple puns relating to the same basic terms (in this case down and espically up) I feel that they will penalize the episode for that. I won't. A very hilarious segment. Highlights include Ed running through Edd's maze (though predictable) to get the Chunky Puffs, all of Edd and Eddy's up puns, Ed working on that elevator that stretched to the moon and Eddy managing to get some of the kids to help him, until Edd accidentley blew the fact they weren't going to get paid. I give this episode an A.
"For The Ed, By The Ed"- Too bad they couldn't run this last week. This is after all an election epsiode, and that would of been perfect with November 4th being the following day. Another great segment. Highlights include Super Plank beating the Kankers up, Eddy wanting to be king and wanting the election, the voting and Ed beating himself up in the voting booth at the end. Another A.
Overall: A
Two good episodes. Not the best, but still plenty of laughs. I liked how Ed kept walking by in the backround with stuff in the first half and the fact that Victor was wearing security guard clothes! Good stuff.![]()
They were great, and does this feel good. My first Eds Review post since Nov '02. Anyway....
"The Call him Mr Ed":
The Puns. The Puns! The maze was predictable, but someone has said that. It's to the point now where we know the characters well enough to know what will happen next. I liked Jimmy's "Queer Eye" look, it suites him well. I knew eventually they would show what Ed was doing the whole time.
Grade: ****1/2
"For the Ed, By the Ed":
Awesome. Ah, the wonders of the democratic system. You can do something as bad as plank did and still won...uh...what did he do?
Two episodes where Double D screwed it up for everyone. That's new. Usually it's Eddy, Ed or confined to just one episode for Double D. This episode answers the important question. Loyalty or the better guy? You decide.
Grade: *****
Awesome, can't wait till next week.

Part 1: For a moment I had a feeling that this was going to continue to cement Ed's status as a moron, but then I realized that every episode does that.I liked him with the cereal and maze and falling out of the elevator. He didn;t even eat the rest of the complete balanced breakfast! At least they reached the moon! (and yes, that is kind of surreal, but the laws of physics need not apply here)
Part 2: Ed is a total moron, let's face it. My thoughts that I just have don't need to be affirmed because we already know that he needs help. I did like Super Plank too, like I'm scared of him though.![]()
I'll give this an A-.
Be sure to catch 24 every Monday at 9pm Eastern on Fox (and 10pm Eastern on Global). Watch it, because you know you're brighter than Michael Irvin.
For "They Call Him Mr. Ed," Eddy contributed to screwing up the situation by bringing up what he pays the employees; he could also be blamed for pushing the matter off onto Edd, but that's stretching the argument. Too bad Eddy didn't plan things out a little more beyond "up" puns (although they were all hilarious...Victor in a security suit...).Originally Posted by Jazman

I haven't finished watching "For the Ed, By the Ed," but Eddy's loss was one based on karma, seeing as he just HAD to stuff the ballot and attempt to rig the election. Double-D was following the logic of who would be better, plus his vote would not have altered the election, although I'm sure it would have made Eddy feel better that at least one person voted for him. If Edd's going to be blamed, one might as well blame Ed, but I guess Eddy excuses his stupidity. The cookie gag reminded me of the Johnny Bravo pie vote.
Highlights of "They Call him Mr. Ed": included Ed carrying that thing with Ed(!), Secretary Nazz, and Rolf's name for Nazz "spindleshanks".
Out of 5, I give it 3.5.
Highlight of "For the Ed, By the Ed" was Ed voing for the cookie.
Out of 5, I give it 2.5.
"They call him Mr. Ed"
Why did I get the feeling feel like I was watching a Chunky Puffs commercial? :anime: (That was a rhetorical question) Kudos on the "Up" puns.
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish.
I want a screencap of Box-Face Ed. CHUNKY PUFFS!
"Yo, way to lose, Eddy!"
"Notgoodnotgoodnotgoodnotgoodnotgood..."
"Did everyone get to see the photo of Plank's butt??"
Plank's butt. Haha, that cracked me up.
They Call Him Mr. Ed
Rating: A
Review: Puns puns everywhere. Loved the maze scene, loved the elevator, but I really loved the end. Had me laughing the whole way through.
For the Ed, By The Ed
Rating: B-
Review: Good, but not as good as the first. The whole "Super Plank" was good, the voting scene was the best, and the end was good as always with Ed beating himself up.

We've been a bit spoiled in the UK as there's been a new Eds every weekday night now since 3 Nov but that apart I think these two were pretty good.
They Call him Mr Ed
I enjoyed this for the snowball effect, the fact that if you hype something enough everyone will want to be a part of it even though they really have no idea what its about. Eddy & Double D trying to be like men and drink the espresso was cute & I love the bit where Ed who's running about in the background all the time suddenly smacks into Eddy's invisible office wall
Rolf insulting Kevin: "May you break out in lather and pass a turnip from your nose!"
For The Ed by the Ed
Double D's refusal too and then inability to produce a massive soda-fuelled burp was fun especially when it burst out unannounced later on - who hasn't had that happen to them? The mystery of just what was on that incriminating photo of Plank boggles the mind too. I liked the way Eddy just refused to do the maths and was convinced he had won right up to the actual announcement.
Ed acting as Eddy's aide: "Upsadaisy your sinus!"
