The gang finds themselves caught between a sect of vicious cat creatures and a horde of zombies lead by the ghost of Moonscar the Pirate.

Amusing film; a nice take on the idea that monsters are real (vs. such cheesier efforts as, well, last week's CN airing of "Scooby Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf"...noted for being Scrappy Doo's last-ever animated appearance [until that lame live-action movie, I guess])...
As for the idea that in this film, "the monsters are real for the first time ever", obviously it's just marketing hype: remember "The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo"? ;-)
