Is Tom and Jerry Replacing Powerpuff Girls at 7:00pm/e?

I really like the Powerpuff Girls. This is usually the time I watch them unless I feel like watching The Simpsons on a local channel. Anyway, I like Tom & Jerry and all but I'm just wondering since it already plays for an hour during the weekdays. Hmmm..... I wonder why Cartoon Network has been doing this to the Powerpuff Girls. They don't have a camp cartoon cartoon day anymore but Ed Edd 'n Eddy (which I don't even want to talk about, I really dislike the show so leave it as that), Courage ( I like Courage), and Dexter's Laboratory ( I like the older ones, not the newer ones) do unless PPG gets picked as a wild card on Fridays.

In this time where classics are only seen a few times a day, it's good to see that there's more time spent with some classics. Besides, PPG is far more overplayed then T&J, so at least it's not being taken over by something that's already seen a lot on the network.

Exactly...Tom and Jerry deserves to have one spot on TV...and PPG has a movie anyway...those other show's don't.

I don't think this will be Tom and Jerry forever. I think they're trying to staple in a classic cartoon slot in primetime and get people used to it, so they can do more with it in the fall. Return of Bugs & Daffy, anyone?

I certainly hope so. Since Tom and Jerry is already seen at 1pm in the day, maybe they could add the other MGM cartoons in, to avoid too many repeats.

CN is nice enough not to just repeat the same content as the 1 PM Tom and Jerry, if you'll notice. Although the 2 AM Tom and Jerry will most certainly be a repeat of the 7 PM airing. Unless that 2 AM Tom and Jerry becomes something...else...

Actually Tom & Jerry does have movies. Tom & Jerry:The Movie and the most recent that I know of is Tom & Jerry: The Magic Ring. What I was saying that it is nice that Tom and Jerry have another spot but I think it should have been another Cartoon Cartoon that airs more than PPG b/c some air 24 times a week and now PPG will air 14 times a week unless of a Wild Card Marathon. I also am a fan of Tom and Jerry and happy, but I wish it would have been another classic show like The Popeye Show or something along those lines which doesn't air in a reasonable time spot in my opinion. Tom and Jerry has more than one spot on TV by the way beside the 7:00 airtime Monday-Thursday: Sundays 3:00PM( 1 hour), weekdays 1:00PM (1 hour), Saturday 11:00AM(1 hour);5:00PM (1 hour) & 5:00AM (1 hour)

It's about time that CN gives the Powerpuff Girls a rest, since that show is way overplayed to begin with and it's an excellent move to put a classic cartoon showcase during primetime, since the classic theatrical cartoons are being mistreated by CN.It's a good start
